Professional, knowledgeable and reliable. From second I met the owner, I knew he was fit for the task. As a contractor myself, I know my ins and outs around roofing, however not my expertise. As the inspection of my roof started, I observed his thoroughness and attention to minor details, and his recommendations were on point. From simple comments on drip edge state, ice and water shield replacement, attic venting upgrades and options, etc, made me more comfortable on making the decision. Of course, we all know where this is heading. Universe Roofing did end up getting the project and I couldn't be more pleased with outcome. I will mention there was a last minute change in type of shingles days before the replacement and owner was more than accommodating, no questions asked, nothing, even though he already had shingles on hand. The day of, they showed up before agreed time, moved any items (flower pots, hoses, waste/recycling bins) out of the way, protected driveway flooring where trailer and materials were parked/staged, placed tarps in the surroundings to avoid any damages from the removal debris. Replaced any damaged wood sections of the roof, installed new drip edges, ice and water shield 9' up the roof (rather than the minimum), replaced old vents, etc. By the end of the job, and clean up, all items put right back in their respective place, it was as if no one was even there. Strongly recommended team, and will definately be my first and only choice on future roofs to come. We'll done Universe Roofing.
