Our furnace was purchased from Laird & Son in 2009 when we bought this house. In Jan of 2015, we received an offer from Enercare for a maintenance plan at a very good rate and we accepted this office. As part of our plan we had a service call where the repair man indicated the furnace was in excellent condition. Shortly after that we experienced problems and dispite many many calls and conversations, we were told that the motor was no good and would have to be replace at a cost of $1200 not covered by our plan. I immediately called Laird & Son and they sent Ken Tilson to look at the furnace. He diagnosed the problem as an intermittant issue with the circuit board and recommended a service plan for $290 that would cover up to $1000 in repairs which we purchased. Several months later, the furnace would not start and I called for service. Ken was back here within 3 hours with a new circuit board which when replace, left the furnace in tip top shape.
