Do not use this man. I hired him after seeing his work in a kitchen which looked lovely. However, he uses purchased drawer fronts that hide the absolute shoddy workmanship behind. In my kitchen, the top drawers of the cabinets were falling into the drawers below. He expected to glue these to the stone counter to hold them up. The installer of the stone counter refused to template the cabinets for the island and other counters because they were not straight, square or level. Rick said they just had to be tweaked but we had to hire someone else who spent two days dismantling, correcting, and reassembling. Rick built a coat closet too short for full length coats and justified this by saying that no one wears long coats anymore. The broom closet was too short for brooms and Rick suggested drilling holes into the shelf above to make them fit. For a third cupboard, he forgot that it was going over a hot air vent and the bottom shelf needed to be high off the floor and with a vent; instead, he drilled out a hole in the side of the cupboard to allow the hot air to escape. This will take another two days of dismantling…He maintains that he is a custom carpenter but, for these closets, he purchased prefabricated boxes, stacked them together and forced them into the spot, cutting out anything like a windowsill that stands in his way. He is rude and belligerent and insults anyone that criticizes his work.
