Brushed on driveway sealer / touch up. They were in the neighborhood doing other driveways and I got them to do ours since they brush on asphalt seal and don't use the cheaper spray that fades faster. Looked good, done fast, and they didn't mark up the sidewalk or concrete around the sealed areas. No issues.

Wanted a power awning for the back deck so everyone wasn't sitting in the sun all the time. Roll-a-Way are the only ones I could find that had a nice plastic end cap and not the frilly hanging fabric on the end like most seem to - didn't care for that look. Visited their location and loved the look of their Ombra series awnings. Bought and installed without issue - their guys recommended the right size by coming out to the house in advance and answering my questions, came on install day on time and got everything done in a timely fashion. Looks great, works great, and couldn't be happier with my decision. Second choice was Rolltec, who have a location in the same area, but their retractable unit was much more bulky looking than Roll-A-Way's.

Had Walter come out with his crew to paint all the window frames after we had new windows put in, as well as the garage door and pillar outside. Fast, looks great, and Walter is friendly easy to deal with. We also used him (he's the boss) to paint our whole house when we moved in some years ago. Punctual, fast, and he does good work. Old school European quality. Would not hesitate to call All Perfect for any painting job we'll need in the future.

They do landscaping, window and gutter cleaning, hanging of Christmas lights, other outdoor projects.....seem to be sort of 'jack of all trades'. I used them for exterior window cleaning and cleaning of window screens. Did an OK job overall. Didn't use ladders to clean upper story windows, but an extended metal arm with an attachment on the end that cleaned with some form of purified water that they indicated did a better job of keeping windows clean than other ways. Windows were clean, though I personally didn't think it was 'better' because the method they used left some water spots behind that dried on the window, whereas places I've used that use a ladder, go up and clean and then squeegee didn't. In the end, job was ok but I will go back to my regular squeegee guy....might be personal opinion, but prefer that approach.

Scheduled Jarvis to come in and top up the builder grade insulation in our attic to improve the insulation / help warm up the house more / cut heating costs. They put in blown in insulation and one thing I really liked was they recommended a specific material that mice don't like the smell of.....really appreciated this, since every home gets attic mice. Arrived on time, put blanketing on the floor so the blower tube didn't get the carpet dirty, and it was pretty quick. Happy overall and did notice the upstairs was a bit warmer after the added insulation as well. Would recommend them.

Have used them twice to do landscaping on our yard. They are a garden centre but a lot of people don't know that garden centres also do landscaping and it's usually a bit cheaper than calling a 'landscaping company'. Had the grade my backyard and put in a patio stone pathway to the front of the house, re-do the front and back with new grass (inherited crappy weed grass when we moved in). and put in a raised area along the back fence for flowers. Job was done fast and looked great when done. They come out and give a quote, and stuck to it....no tricks....this was appreciated. Second time, had them come out to put in a patio stone area on the backyard that I could use for a kid play area. Happy with the results again, so happy to call them if I ever have another need come up. The cost I put in for the review is related to the second time.....first job was bigger.

My snowblower stopped working last winter (in the middle of a snowstorm, of course). Called Nick's and for a $70.00 fee, they picked up the blower, took it to their shop and provided a repair estimate. Unfortunately, my blower wasn't fixable....but they sell as well as service blowers, lawnmowers, etc., basically any small engine related outdoor tool you'd use around the home (weedwackers too, etc.). They carry some top brand stuff so I bought my new blower from them. The good part is they set it up properly for you based on the type of driveway you have (gravel, asphalt, concrete) so the front end isn't scraping the hell out of everything. They also took the time to go through proper maintenance of any small engine powered tool.....they definitely know their stuff. New blower comes delivered ready to go, and service was quick and detailed, no mysteries or vague b.s. The new blower has been great and appreciated their straightforward approach. Would recommend them for anyone's small engine needs.

The burner on my Broil Mate was not working right for a few years, sort of intermittently heating up fast as it should and then taking a long time other times. Couldn't figure it out and called Grillsmith. They aren't the cheapest, but you're paying for their doing the fix on-site so you don't have to lug your BBQ anywhere. If they figure out it needs a big enough repair to go to their shop, then they'll handle that too. Worth it to not have that hassle yourself, I'd say. In my case, they fixed mine right where it sat on the back deck. The technician determined it was a combination of a faulty switch and also the regulator value was sticking, so he showed me a way to fix that when that issue comes up. Fast and on site, so very happy with their service. They also do 'spruce up' maintenance on BBQs that aren't looking so good after years of use, but didn't need it in my case. Will call them first if I have a BBQ issue again down the road.

Turf Tamers is out of Hamilton. They do lawn maintenance using a only organic products. I've used them for the last five years or so and have been very happy with the results. Some might think organic won't be as effective as other pesticides but the results have been great. I pay for a yearly lawn maintenance package that includes five visits from spring to fall....includes fertilizer and organic liquid feed suppressant treatments. Lawn has been virtually weed free every since. They call the day before to let you know they are coming, leave a progress report each time on what was done and what their technician sees (good or bad), and if you sign up for a treatment package at the start of the year, they discount the price. Really happy with them.
