Had a persistent problem with racoons in our attic this past winter. Contacted another pest and animal control company who were unable to resolve the problem. Decided to try North Star Pest Control based on their Homestar reviews. Called Shakeel who promptly came out to look at the problem. Recommended installing a one-way door for the racoon to get out. In addition to that he also reinforced the soffits at other potential entry points for the racoons. This worked like a charm. Once the racoons left via the one-way door the were unable to return because of the reinforcement Shakeel had done. Because of the weather, I did not pressurize Shakeel to remove his one-way door but we were in contact with each other. He came this past weekend to remove the one-way door and cover the area where the door had been installed. He also repaired some of the other soffits which the racoons had damaged. I would have no hesitation recommending North Star Pest Control.

After doing extensive research and evaluating different contractors, I decided to go with Philip at Dr Pot Light. This was the best decision I could have made. Philip impressed me from the initial visit to determine my requirements. He was personable, polite and knowledgeable. He provided insightful guidance and advice in deciding what would be best suited to our home. He was able to fit us in 5 days after I committed to using him. He provided us with different pot light options to align with the existing pot lights in our home. Philip and Reza arrived on time. to start the work. Philip was very accommodating as we decided to increase the no. of pot lights and asked him to install dimmers and change light switches and switch covers. The work was completed by the end of day and to our complete satisfaction. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Pot Light to anyone looking to do pot lights.

I contacted Jesse at GTA Doors about replacing my garage door opener. He immediately called me back and scheduled an appointment for two days later. The installer arrived on time and efficiently and professionally replaced the door opener. He explained the warranty and how the system worked to me before leaving.

Pro-Tech have just completed installing vinyl windows throughout my house (17 windows + patio door). I have undertaken major home improvement projects in each of the last 5 years and this has undoubtedly been my most gratifying experience. I found Pro-Tech on Homestars and like a previous reviewer was somewhat skeptical at first but this was one time when all of the praises heaped upon Flavio in these reviews was well deserved. He was professional, courteous, accomodating and had a thorough knowledge of his product. Throughout the process, he offered helpful and constructive advice. Doug, the installer was obviously an expert in this field. As far as the price was concerned, Flavio indicated in his intial phone call that he would match any reasonable quote which is exactly what he did. Flavio, it has been a pleasure doing this project with and I wish you and your company evry success in the future.
