Six years ago my parents hired Austin Roofing, on recommendation of a friend, to replace our existing roof. Prior to putting on the new roof, they were quite courteous. However, the crew that Rick Austin and his company sent, was the worst crew anyone could have gotten. They did a very poor job and that has been clearly evident for the past 6 years. Every summer since the roof had been laid, multiple sheets of shingles have fallen off of our roof. As we have contacted the company several times to come replace the fallen shingles, the responses from Rick have gotten more rude as my mother has called. This has included hanging up on her, threatening to get his lawyer involved if we were to take any action against him, and telling her that he would never have any of his crew return to fix the roof, even though they were the ones who created the problem in the first place. We finally had to get a different company to replace the entire roof this year, only after 6 years and a guaranteed 10 year warranty. If anyone is looking for a new roof in the Windsor/Essex/Sarnia area, DO NOT go to Austin Roofing. Their crews clearly do not know what they are doing, and the owner has the WORST customer service skills there can be.
