I called Tom tonight during an extreme weather warning. Even though we was at a job on the other side of the city (and a few blocks from his home), he drove to me as soon as he finished his job. Our deadbolt lock had disassembled (we made it worse by trying to force the lock to open when our tenant could not enter her basement apt bc the lock would not open - bc we thought it was frozen and we were facing breaking the door frame to get it out -don't do it! Call Tom!) and he had to get out the broken off deadbolt piece stuck inside our door frame. It took him a fair bit of time and he admitted it almost got the best of him - but he didn't give up! In under an hour he had the piece out, had installed a high quality Schlage lock and even fixed the other lock below it as it was moving. He is not only the best locksmith I have ever met, he is Santa Claus to us! His service was reasonable - esp considering it was late at night on a freezing night and he came asap. He even showed my husband what to do if the lock moved a bit (as they tend to do in cold weather). I could not leave him leave without a hug to thank him.

Chris is genuinely one of the best and nicest masonry experts out there. He did a chimney build for us (and a repair of a chimney also), as well as some concrete and brick work for us. He loves his work (and can talk about bricks like nobody!) and is truly an honest, good and "extra-mile" type of contractor. He can be hard to reach sometimes bc he is so busy (and often on roofs!) but persist and you will find a gem. I cannot recommend him more highly! I have also seen his work at other houses (which is why I called him) and was very impressed. Friends have loved his service and personality and he gives you fair prices. What more can you ask?

Empire Roofing was fantastic! They gave me a reasonable quotes (I really checked around), provided the supplies I requested (and I researched extensively) and showed them to me before beginning the roof of our entire detached house (with a flat roof). They replaced the few boards that needed replacing, showed them to me to confirm they needed to be replaced, took photos of their work and were polite, punctual, clean and fast! They cleaned up after themselves and were a pleasure to deal with (even nice to our children!). They even came back to check an issue I had with the roof (that didn't related to their work) and fixed it afterwards for me for free. I have recommended them to friends and all those that hired them have been really happy with their service and work. Ask for Ladi Veliu (who was the manager on our job) as he is really excellent. Highly recommended!

I called on Canada Day to inquire about getting a quote for removing all our deck boards and stuff relating to removing our entire deck, plus a few odds and ends. Mark was very polite, gave me a time (later accommodated a change of time with no problem). They called to give me an ETA and arrived on time. The cost was a bit more than I expected (as the truck was a bit smaller than a competitor), but they were polite, and very nice to deal with. They were flexible, neat and very good. I would recommend with no hesitation.
