THESE GUYS ARE THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL CONTRACTORS I HAVE EVER HIRED TO WORK ON MY HOUSE. DISHONEST AND OUT THERE TO RIP YOU OFF. BE SURE TO ASK FOR PRICE BEFORE THEY COME IN. They keep scaring you from the beginning to charge you more and more money, be aware $95 per hour (else where is $45), half way through the work, they stop and show more charges. I asked them to stop so I can get a second opinion, they reported me to the Electrical safety authority and cost me $$$ more, pure and simple NEVER Hire them, unless you are asking for trouble and losing $$$$$ money. By the way, they never found the problem in my house and never mentioned that I need permit to do electrical work. Licensed electrician is $45 per hour not $95.

ELECTRICAL WORK NOT DONE TO ESA CODES AND STANDARDS IS UNSAFE, ILLEGAL AND ENDS UP COSTING MORE $$$$$
Mr. Electric GTA West is a licensed contractor with the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) and complies with ESA codes and standards for all electrical work that we do. The issues that were discovered at your house when our electrician was diagnosing the electrical problem were unsafe and required immediate repair – is it possible to put a dollar value on your family’s safety?We would like to clarify a few items that were noted:
As a Licensed Electrical Contractor with the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) we are responsible to comply with the following - Section 4(1): Duties of an Electrical Contractor: Applicable Laws:
“ An electrical contractor shall ensure that all electrical work is carried out in accordance with all applicable laws, including the Electrical Safety Code and the laws relating to health and safety, employment standards, consumer protection and business practices. The province’s safety system also relies on truthful behaviour from the electrical profession. The system relies on electrical contractors following the rules set out in the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, which includes following Code rules for how an electrical installation is done, and taking out permits and applying for inspections where required. Failure to keep proper records, or failure to take out permits where required, means that electrical work may not be known to the regulator and defects that can potentially cause serious harm to persons or property may not be detected.”At the time of our visit, you were advised that your existing electrical system did not meet ESA Codes and Standards. You signed a work order giving authorization to our electrician to proceed with diagnosing the problem. Our electrician George, spent several hours at your house diagnosing the problem with the electrical wiring yet only billed you for the minimum diagnostic charge when he was asked to leave. George gave you some options for these repairs but you chose to decline these options. You were advised, prior to George leaving your property that your existing electrical system was UNSAFE and that we were required to report this issue to the ESA. Your reply was to "go ahead and call the ESA".
It is obvious that the previous “contractor” did not comply with ESA codes and standards. The kitchen was wired with reverse polarity; and there were multiple junction boxes buried in the ceiling and in drywall mud; and some had exposed wiring as there were no covers on the boxes. Our rates reflect our cost of doing business by maintaining proper licensing, hiring licensed electricians to complete the work and guaranteeing all electrical work that we do.
