My neighbour and I had done quite a bit of research and gotten many quotes for roof replacement. We ended up settling on All-Stars. The quotes, sales process was quite smooth and easy. The sales people were available to answer many questions and never seemed annoyed or upset with many questions that come from doing a semi-detached home for 2 customers. The company/crew were also very accommodating as I had to have some one area of the roof opened up so another company could come in and spray foam a section. Scheduling is weather dependant and so we were at the mercy of weather but the company was good at communicating with us. During the day of the replacement the crew arrived and was very fast. Much of the work was done quickly. One challenge we had the day of was lack of understanding who was in charge of the crew. Most did not speak english so when we had a question on concern it was often a challenge to get the right person to speak with. We also did let them know upfront that any plywood that needed to be replaced we would do to ensure the roof was problem free as we had had previous issues and didn't want any more if we were redoing the roof. We ended up finding out a little too late that the roofers did not remove the first bit of previous shingles or maybe previous starter strip as they told us it was stuff on and they couldn't get it on. Not sure if this resulted in some of the edges not being flat and smooth. I would have rather replaced the plywood and gone fresh then keep the old. Roof was completed and later when doing Xmas lights I noticed some gaps or patchwork done with the drip edge and it appears they left a gap because the pieces were not long enough. When calling and speaking to the company they actually handled all the issues and addressed them. They had come back multiple times to fix various issues. The person who came back was very good, saw the issues and fixed them as best as possible. Very happy with the response and how they helped with the issues. We also identified an issue around the chimney which was not there previously. Not sure how things changed but we were getting some major icing down our chimney in the winter since the roof was done. The biggest question I had was would I use this company again. The answer would be yes. I do feel that the company as whole has great people working there and they do go out of their way to make things right. So in the future if we hav to get any additional work done I will definitely be reaching out to them. I think in this case the crew that did our job may have taken some shortcuts which caused some of our problems. The roof has not had any major issues since it has been installed. It ha gone through many wind storms, snow, ice, etc. and withstood it all.

Kay did an excellent job explaining the process and answering my questions up front. The quote was provided and no additional costs up front. I had asked them to setup an isolated area around the attic hatch because it was my 4 year old's bedroom and didn't want anything getting into the room. Kay did explain it wasn't required but they would still do it. The day of the work the guys were on time and started to setup very quickly. They did not setup an isolated area but did cover most of the area with plastic. They also required to work in the bathroom as they needed the water for the solution. They finished the job fairly quickly and left once completed. They did a quick cleanup and left. After they left I checked the bathroom and it appeared they did not cleanup the area very well. In the bathtub there was white paste in numerous areas and a film. I bath my children in the tub so I was concerned. I did call Kay and she apologized and would send the guys back to properly cleanup as that is their process and they have cleaning supplies specifically for this. When the worker returned he asked what the problem was so I explained. He had nothing with him at all. He asked for paper towels and cleaning supplies. He did a quick wipe down. After he left I ended up doing a thorough cleaning just to be sure. It sounds like there was a disconnect between what Kay had described the workers do and what they actually do in terms of cleanup. I also did notice on the Concrobium website it actually says the Stain Remover they use is scientifically proven to detach mold growth from the surfaces allowing efficient removal by HEPA vacuuming. I spoke to I believe the owner or manager and he assured me it's not required. All I can suggest is do your own research. http://www.concrobiumpro.com/Attic_Attack_casestudy.pdf Overall I am happy with the the work done and the results. Yes there could have been a bit more thorough cleaning done, but overall the results and experience were good. I would still recommend them. As with any solution you have to do your research.

Thank you very much for the review. Typically my teams are very diligent with there clean up because they know if something was missed they must return ASAP to correct it. I would have gladly visited your home and inspected myself and taken the appropriate action to ensure your satisfaction. Call Kay for a follow up inspection next winter at your convience to ensure your attic is working properly. Thanks again ...Ross
