We had integrity roofers come in to provide us with an estimate for doing our roof (peaked with singles, and flat roof). We had received quotes from 3 other companies and found that Shay and Michael at integrity roofers were by far the most through of all the roofing companies. They went up onto the roof, they also went into our attic and spent a good 15-20 minutes looking around. They also both spent a large amount of time with us going over all our options and providing a number of different plans with various price points (as we were quite concerned about price to begin with). Our attic was a bit odd in that it was half finished. When we moved into the house we need to have some quick repairs done and we had an attic created with a ladder for easy access. The recommended approach by most other roofing companies was to seal off our attic and cover it with spray foam. Shay and Michael were extremely receptive to our concerns with our attic and our desire to not close the attic off, but be able to use it for storage. They did extra research which went way above and beyond all other companies. In the end we ended up going with the option to finish our attic space for storage, and doing the singles on the peaked roof. Due to cost we ended up deciding to delay out flat roof until next year. It should be noted that the estimate provided by Integrity Roofers were average or better then the rest of the estimates we got (and this included helping us finish off our attic). Prior to the roofing day a team came a to put drywall up in our attic and remove the old insulation. They were very professional and cleaned up throughly once done. On the day of the roofing Shay was on site almost the entire time making sure that everything went as planned. There were a few issues that arose during the project that could not have been predicted, but Shay was present and walked us through all the changes to the plan and why they were necessary. In fact it was estimated that many of the changes would facilitate a lower cost. The roofing portion itself was completed in one day and crew cleaned up everything. Shay and his team was very thorough. After the job was complete Shay commented that he did not like how our shingles joined with our neighbours shingles (we live in a semi-detached house). It was purely an aesthetic thing and had no impact on the quality, but he sent some members from his team back out to make it look better (I had not even noticed). Michael then came over next few days and finished off the remainder of our attic. He reinforced our attic and put in flooring for us. Every day he arrived Michael checked in with us and gave us an update. There were parts of this part of the project that took longer then they had initially planned. Michael was extremely professional and walked us through everything he was doing. He did not even charge us for all the extra work he had put in. The finished product was far above and beyond what we had expected. They did such an amazing job we were even talking about having them do some other general contract work as we have found it hard to find good contractors :). We felt integrity roofers did an amazing job. At the start of the project Shay and Michael told us that the most important part of the job to them was our happiness with the finished project. It was clear to us throughout the entire project that this was true. They constantly checked in with us, and explained what was happening. We will definitely be hiring them to come back next year to do our flat roof.

Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Be sure to raise all your concerns and questions ahead of time. We did this with all the roofing companies and it was only Integrity Roofers that seemed to care. This really helped us feel like we made the right choice.

Moved into house and needed some repairs done. GarCon was responsive in giving us a quote and they completed the repairs in a fairly timely matter. We had GarCon do the following: - Repair a hole in our subfloor - Vent dryer outside - Reinforce support beams in basement (due to crack in one of the original beams) - Move our attic access - Repair a structural beam in the attic that had been cut - Install a Range Hood above our stove with venting outside - Convert a plaster closet to drywall pantry - patch holes in the wall - upgrade our electrical box - fix some wiring in the kitchen - fix lights that were improperly installed. In general we were extremely happy with the repairs and work that was done. The quality of the work that was done was always extremely high. We only had two issues: 1) They did not put up any form of protection when tearing down plaster in our kitchen (despite re-assurances from the foreman that they would). I think this was an unfortunate oversight on their part, but it left our entire main floor covered in white dust that we are still cleaning 6 months later. Fortunately, when moving our attic they properly put up plastic to block much of the dust from spreading (very effective). 2) When repairing the hole in the floor they did not put in any additional support meaning that I still sink a little when I step in the repaired area. The foreman also made a comment that it was not acceptable, went downstairs and then dropped the issue a bit later. My guess is that the issue was dropped due to the way the repair was done. To put in the additional support would have required undoing the repair which would have created more damage then was worth. The repair itself was extremely well done. Aside from those two issues their repairs were extremely well done. The staff was courteous and friendly. They were also very economical and met our budget. Our original quote was for 8000-9000, but they had to increase the amount midway through due to unforeseen electrical issues (upgrading our electrical box to properly support adding and fixing our electrical sockets). Their new quote of 12000 was also quite reasonable, and I think this would have occurred with any construction company. This also caused them to be a bit delayed in completing our project. I would recommend them again and dock them only 1 star due to the two above issues which were not to major given the scope of the project.
