Having the owner and CEO, David, come to our house to give us our quote on the Furnace and A/C - we knew we liked the company and really liked his honesty about what we wanted vs what we needed. After 8 other HVAC companies came in and quoted, we created a pro and con list to feel like we were making the best possible decision but we both already had Amaris in mind. They weren’t the most expensive nor the cheapest, but we really felt comfortable and confident in the choice. After quoting on the Furnace and A/C we decided to also get out of our water heater rental and purchase - again Amaris was there to help us make the decision about size and value. They sent out Matt their HVAC tech to look at the space and help make an educated choice for what we need for our family. Matt became our go to around installation and, although there were some delays due to COVID and getting the units in - he was always a text message or phone call away doing his best to keep us informed. He even offered his personal portable A/C unit in the interim to get us through the hot and humid days. Our A/C arrived first and Matt came to the house to install it on our old furnace just to get the house cool. He came back the next day to install the furnace, and following day to install the water heater. Matt is someone you can tell loves his job and takes pride in his work. He kept us informed every step of the way, cleaned up after each day, and wanted to make sure it was not only installed properly, but also looked aesthetically pleasing. The addition of the black rubber floor mats around the units was an added surprise to make the space look finished. We are going to add to them to finish the entire space. We had always had issues with our water lines, hot water coming from the cold tap for the first 10-15 seconds - Matt figured out the issue, even though it was a bit of a conundrum of of cross crossing water lines, and corrected it with the new install. He added an expansion tank to the hot water heater to ensure the pressure was even to all areas of the house - again explaining everything along the way. The water temperature is great, the pressure is so much better, and we no longer have an issue with the hot and cold water any more. Our A/C is much quieter, and our sons room which was always the hot spot in the house definitely is more cool, with a noticeable difference in the velocity of the air coming from the vents. After install, because of the addition of a wider filter, Matt was not happy with the look of the venting, so will be coming back to make it look better. It functions extremely well, but he wants it to look perfect. He stopped by again today, on a Sunday, to double check the pressure on the gas, wanted to make sure everything was tagged properly, and to ensure our new NEST thermostat was functioning the way it should. David has also reached out to ensure that we are happy with everything and won’t accept payment until the job is completely done and we are 100% satisfied with everything.
