NEVER do business with this company Update TV and Stereo EVER!!!! After spending over $50,000 on a Control4 system for our home, the owner, attempted to charge us an additional $4,500 for an amplifier that we did not want or even need as he told us our system requires it to operate, which it did not. We questioned as to why he attempted to charge us $4,500 for this amplifier when the MSRP on the web is only $1,499 from other Control4 dealers. You can also find this amplifier used on ebay for $350. Nevertheless, he had no answer, he just got extremely defensive. When we refused to pay and told him to take the amplifier back, he went back to his office and wiped our entire Control4 System clean. After just charging us $13,000 to program our entire control4 system, he now completely wiped it out and refused to take our calls, texts, or emails. We had to call the police and Control4 head office in Utah in order to get our system back up which we are still trying to do. Thankfully Control4 head office in Utah has been extremely helpful and takes the stance that it is all about the consumer. They are currently in the process of assisting us to get our system back up and running after their dealer deleted all our personal data. We also had to get the police involved to retrieve our data.
