Repeating customer here. It's our third time working with Bill and team. Feel free to check my previous comments for all the great things they've done with us. I would say when calling Bill, it's like I am guaranteed a "worry-free" experience. This is a group of professionals who know what they are doing, take proud of their work and deliver excellent customer experience. A few things I would like to highlight from our most recent experience. First, Bill & team does think like a customer and manage priorities/scheduling pretty well. This year when I call Bill, initially it was for a "nice to have" project that, eventually, it turns out I don't need any sooner. At that time, Bill let me know they will include me in the queue and drop by when they are nearby. I agree as it's nothing urgent. After some time, one day I suddenly noticed there is a yellow stain on the ceiling, under the flat roof. I sent Bill the picture, let him know I need to change the project, and that's when things start to move on pretty fast. Bill and his guy drop by shortly, quickly check the flat roof and Bill also kindly revisit the shingle roof his team did two years ago. Within like 15 mins, I got everything I need. Bill confirmed the shingle roof is all good, flat roof does need work and provide me the quote. We decide to move on. Bill managed to have a team came in the next week, once the weather permit. Again, a hard-working team got the flat roof complete and clean up within one day. It's clear to me that Bill work with a great sense of customer care, understand what can wait and what can't, and make thing happen when there is a problem requiring immediate attention. Another great example of "think like a customer" is how they help with the design. When Peter and Bill came to measure for the mini fence, they asked what's my thought about the new one. Well, I don't know. All I can say is, maybe like the old one. Then during our conversation, I explain I was always nervous when I saw that old, fragile fence holding a large pile of snow in winter. They say, no worries. And yes, "no worries" with the result. The well crafted little fence Peter built not just looks very nice, but also strong and solid. Looking at that fence, I am confident it will survive many winters with whatever snow storm. Last but not the least, these are hard-working folks, heads down and focus on their work. The afternoon they install the new flat roof, I didn't realize there are still 5 folks working up there, until I went out of a walk. With Peter, when he made us the new fence and railing, he was so quiet that we didn't realize when he arrives and leave. They also clean the site very well, even if they will come back the next day. Like I said at the beginning, Bill, Peter and the team definitely know what they are doing and take proud of their work. Thank you, Bill, Peter and team for another great experience! =)

Now we are returning customers. All the good words on Bill remain the same: Excellent craftsmanship, hard-work, honest, easy to work with, knowledgeable, AAA customer services PLUS, he really cares for the customer and stand behind their work. Due to the COVID restrictions, a minor default in the previous project was left behind in spring. Because of all the craziness of 2020, I didn't bother to call Bill until I need the new quote. Guess what, not only did Bill remember that minor default, but he also remember a few things I consulted with him last time. Eventually when the team were on site for the new project, they restored whatever needed to be restored, and double check the few things I raised, ensure sure everything is fine. It's a easy decision to go with Bill's team. The team - Bill, Pat, Jenifer, Chris, Jeff - are terrific to work with. Professional, polite and personal. They know what needs to be done and were very respectful, helped move furniture and protected the floor/our belongings. Through this job, I lived in the house and am working from home. The team always assure minimum interruption, in cases like the main floor needs to be power off when they work with the electricity outlets. At the end of each day, the team did a decent job cleaning the site, left no mess. Most of the time Pat was the team lead on site. Like Bill, I just can't say enough good words about Pat. He is absolutely amazing to work with. Few things I definitely would like to highlight: #1、Excellent "Can-Do" attitude. The house is a challenging one with limited space, narrow entries and so on. A good example of how challenging it is - a couple years ago there was a well-rated company came for a quote, the gentleman didn't even bother to knock our door, instead he left a polite note saying sorry his team won't be able to handle such case. With Pat, Bill & team, never heard one single complain on how difficult thing is. They work with excellent "Can-Do" attitude. Take any challenges/on-site findings, figure out the options, being very transparent, communicate well when needed - what can be done and whether extra cost required, and keep things moving. Another great example is due to COVID (again), there was definitely extra complexity in terms of getting all the correct supplies. There were days when Pat had to do extra research, spent extra time traveling far away, to get the correct pieces matching with current settings. Even with such delay, which was not the team's fault, Pat still worked late into the night, to finish the days' work. Both his can-do attitude and hardworking is much appreciated. #2、Excellent communication at different levels. As homeowner, I am always curious about how things get done. However, there were days I had 10 meetings and didn't want to hear any more problems. On days I prefer short conversations, Pat just keep me "worry free", provide brief updates on what's done and what's next. On days I was curiously looking at the high quality materials they use, and ask related or maybe stupid questions, Pat was always generous with his deep knowledge and time, sharing details, thoughts and insights that you most likely can only hear from people with extensive hands-on experience, not from Google. #3、Proactive, go above and beyond. Like the previous experience, the team are always proactive, go above and beyond, and even help with things that we didn't think about. During the project, Pat noticed there was sewer smell in our basement bathroom. The problem happened before and did go away, so we don't even bother. The next day Bill came checked, quickly confirmed the cause and shared a easy solution which fixed the problem in no time. This is just one example. In one word, I am definitely looking forward to working with Bill, Pat and the team again, on my future project.

My comment on Bill, the owner, is simple: call him, you won't regret it. Excellent craftsmanship, hard-work, honest, easy to work with, knowledgeable, AAA customer services, and the list goes on. I recently purchased an old house, with works to be done here and there. After some back and forth with different companies, I finally came across Fairney & Sons in HomeStar and requested a siding quote. To my biggest surprise, I got a reply in minutes when it was already 9:40 pm, and then a follow up call after 10 pm!! Yes, Bill is that hard working. As a home owner, I hate to wait for long when there is a problem with my home. Working with Bill, I have the peace in mind that I can get a hold of him, if something is concerning. Shortly the team came check the house. Bill is friendly, straight to the point and honest. Unlike contractors who try to redo the whole thing, he gave honest opinions, like my flat roof is still good, no need to replace/repair; or my upper eavestrough is fine, replacing the downpipe is all we need, etc. It didn't take long to receive all quotes I need. Price is reasonable. Even my parents like his old school craftsmanship and recommend me hire him. Eventually, I decided to let Bill take care of my house. Everything went on very well. Bill walked me through what they would do up front. He was always there to answer my questions (I am sure some of those are pretty stupid...). What's more, he is so flexible to incorporate some last minute ideas I threw in, like installing leaf guard. On time and on budget. The team show up when they said they will come, and deliver on time. The roofers even work long hours till dark, to complete the shingle roof in just one day! The cost for initial scope stick to the estimate. What I would highlight is, Bill also did an excellent job helping me budgeting for the potential extra and different last minute ideas. Grown up in a heritage house, I know when dealing with old houses, you always need contingency for on site findings. Likely because of his many years of experience, despite we don't know how good or how bad the invisible part is, Bill still manage to give me a good estimate for contingency, Eventually, the cost for all extra and my last minute ideas is just within the range. No surprise. In terms of the result, his team definitely go above and beyond. The new siding make the back of my house look like brand new. And I noticed multiple small fix that I didn't ask for, but the team just go ahead fix them for me. Now the back looks lovely and is protected from animals. Roof looks great as well. Maybe ask me in 10 years, but so far all good. :) They did a good job cleaning afterward, and the level of noise wasn't too bad at all. Due to the unfortunate COVID 19 situation, I had to work from home, staying in my basement when the team is working. I was able to complete all my office work and meetings without being disturbed. Last but not the least, after I paid, Bill re-emphasize his team stand behind their work and I can reach out anytime needed. I appreciate that and that's all I need. Over all, great job and great experience. I am more than happy to count on Bill to take care of my future home improvement projects. Thank you team!

Long story short, Troy is the BEST! I had squirrel problem since mid December. Worked with another reputable company with great HomeStars rating. Unfortunately, fail, fail, fail - the unwanted visitor kept on finding its way back. After 3 unsuccessful visits and $$$ spent, I decided to start fresh. Troy is definitely a delight to work with. Professional, knowledgeable and work with great passion. He listen. When I pointed out a couple of corners which look susceptible, unlike the other technician, who was over-confident and said those were too small for anything to get in, Troy went up and checked with his hands. Turns out the holes look small but were actually big enough for squirrel to get in. He is not hesitate to come back, revisit and finish the work. During the second visit, he was able to identify a freaky hidden hole that the first technician missed, even though I told the first technician I heard something got in from that corner. Troy figured this out himself, without me mentioning anything, as I already forgot. He share. Spend the time to educate the customer and share his great knowledge. Tory also did a great job getting raccoon out of my crawlspace, and install protection. Finally I had a peaceful month. Just need to seal the one way door and done. Thank you very much Troy! GREAT JOB!
