I did a lot of research into various roofing companies in the Fall of 2019, including here on HomeStars of course. I ended up contacting four companies in total for on-site quotes. Unfortunately, due to timing and some issues on our side of things, we weren't able to get the roof completed before winter weather arrived. However, after receiving the quotes and meeting with reps from the four companies, I had decided to go with Sean and "The Roofers". Sean was great to deal with throughout the entire quoting process. Very knowledgable, courteous, and was willing to answer all questions and offer suggestions, based on his experience. The quote was the second lowest price of the four we had received. I picked up the ball once again in mid-April and contacted Sean to ask if they were still willing to do the job and if he would honour the quote provided in September. He was quick to respond, as he had been throughout the quoting experience and the entire project. They would do the job and honour the quote. He came by our house once again the next day, just to re-familiarize himself with everything. The current COVID-19 situation made scheduling the job a bit uncertain at that time but Sean assured me that they would schedule the job as soon as they could and estimated that it would be done within the first half of May. True to his word, he contacted me in mid-May to say that they would be arriving in two days to complete the work. The crew arrived at 7:00am to start prepping. The workers were courteous and the materials that were detailed in the quote were the exact materials delivered - no shortcuts or substitutions. We went with the GAF 50-year product that has the warranty, as I didn't want to have to think about the roof again in my lifetime. The guys worked hard all day and did an excellent job of prepping the site (including my neighbours on each side - AC's, etc.). It appeared that they did things the right way in their application, which was a big part of what I was looking for, as there had been other roofing companies come though our area over the last two years that were quoting at about 65% of what we paid, but were cutting corners, using inferior products and leaving behind problems for home owners and not returning to fix them. I didn't want any part of that. The site clean-up afterward was excellent as well. To date I have only found one roofing nail on my property since they finished. In conclusion, dealing with Sean and The Roofers has left me one-hundred percent satisfied, from first meeting to completion of the job. I would (and will) absolutely recommend them to any of my friends, family or colleagues. If the work holds up, as I fully expect it will, it was as close to a perfect roofing experience as I could have hoped for. Thanks Sean and everyone at The Roofers.
