We had Sebastian in to lay a laminate floor in our small basement apartment at the end of December and we're very impressed with the work. Both Scott and Sebastian responded to our questions and request very quickly, and completed work quite promptly and punctually without any deviation from the initial quote. We will definitely hire this company again for any wood flooring projects in future.

We had a tricky bit of hardwood floor to repair in a small hallway and were initially very happy that Sean agreed to do the work so quickly. After the project was completed, however, we were quite unhappy with a number of aspects of the work. The biggest problem was that the work was quite sloppy. Sean left a large gap between two boards, screwed through the top of another board, and left a few very short and unstable pieces right at the edge of the floor. Secondly, we had initially discussed attempting to level or at least flatten the subfloor before laying the boards. Sean unfortunately did not address this issue and instead merely used a great deal of glue to level the floor. Finally, we were also very unhappy that he left quite a lot of garbage around, as well as pencil marks on some of the boards, and no trim replaced. I actually had to dig the hardware for our closet door out of a trash bag he left. Overall, I would say that the work was done quickly and cheaply, but that you get what you pay for. We did not even bother addressing how unhappy we were with Sean because we didn't want him to do more work in our house. Edit June 29th, 2013: These photos were taken after Sean finished the job and had been paid. We're even more unhappy at the lack of professionalism following this review.

I'm quite shocked with the review. I would like to make clear that the photos shown were taken before the job was completed, the transition strip was damaged by the home owner before I had arrived and was removed by me, the floor section going into the washer and dryer area was filled and completed the following day. The pictures are not of the finished product. The small strip on the last did in fact move and I was not given the chance to repair it, I mentioned this might happen. I had mentioned that the floor was not able to be level unless it was completely removed and done properly. You're concern was your deadline, which was very short. The screws on the top of the out side boards were also discussed with you and because of the very tight area I was not able to get the flooring nailer in this spot. The screws were placed against the wall to hold the entire floor together. Yes the floor was glued because you had a headed floor and nails would have damaged this. The trim replacement was discussed at the start of the job and you said you would take care of this because as you mentioned " You're handy" .
The hardware for that door was damaged and was thrown out. I mentioned all of this to your boyfriend who agreed to tell you. Also I mentioned that if there were any issues to please call me. You paid for a service and if you were upset about anything or unclear you should have called.

I also asked that you not walk on the floor for at least 3 days but it was clear you walked on it the same day.

I'm not sure what else to say.

We've been using Slavic for the past two years to service a complicated (and poorly installed) radiant in-floor heating system, but we recently decided to completely replace our old system with a new boiler. After bringing in a number of consultants to look over our old unit, Slavic was the only person who actually understood our problems and how to correct them. He managed to help us get two years of extra use out of a failing system and then did an amazing job installing the new boiler. At the last minute, we also asked him to install a split A/C unit and he was incredibly accommodating. Furthermore, all the products he recommended we use have turned out to be extremely efficient and of very high quality. Slavic was punctual, stuck to his initial quote, and very respectful of our time and space. He's a true professional and knows more about these systems than anyone else we've ever encountered. We will definitely recommend him to all our friends and continue to use his services in the future.

I had been trying to find someone to fix the problems I'd been having with our tankless water heater for months. The pilot light had been going out on its own and I'd been resetting it almost everyday to obtain any hot water. I had two other reputable companies in to look at it, one who basically flipped a switch, charged us $150 dollars and then told us it was fixed (which it wasn't), and another who recommended ripping out the whole system and spending thousands of dollars on a new boiler. Control Air identified that the machine simply hadn't been serviced properly in a few years, came and cleaned the sensor and flushed the system and we haven't had any problems since. They also added some valves that our system required which we hadn't realized. They were fast, clean, and effectively identified and solved the problem. I'll definitely use them again.
