Need a new deck? None of your friends or family can recommend a deck company? Then you are in exactly the same situation me and my wife found ourselves in. So off to HomeStars we went to search for a deck company. After reading Golden Valley's (GV) reviews we contacted Ryan. From the moment we spoke with him the first time to the end of the project we were really impressed. Within a few days Ryan was at our house for our first meeting (versus 2 other companies who said they can provide quotes by looking at satellite images!) He even called us to let us know he was running 5 minutes late. At our first meeting, he explained the benefits of Trex (composite decks) in simple terms, showed us a huge book of his project work to give us deck design ideas and provided what turned out to be a highly competitive quote. Once the deal was signed in mid-August Ryan provided an estimated date for the work for the last week in September and said he will contact us a few days before. To our delight, Ryan was able to fit our project in 2 weeks earlier. Within 4 days our new deck was built and we have been enjoying through the warmer fall weather.
