Peter and Modern Appliance were amazing. After contacting three highly ranked companies on HomeStars, Peter was the only one who seemed to want the business. (One 10 star company never even got back to me - neither is worthy of 10 stars!) He replied by phone AND email within minutes. He is a remarkable communicator, arrives within minutes of when promised, and does outstanding work for a fair price, in our case above and beyond the call. Both our fridge and stove needed attention. The convection feature of the stove had stopped working and the control panel that dispensed ice through the fridge door had failed. Peter of Modern Appliance came when we needed him and quickly diagnosed both problems. Even though he was sent the wrong part for the fridge, he returned it, negotiated to get the right part from his supplier and returned to our place to install the correct part without an additional service call. He's a good guy!

My refrigerator stopped working, I called Peter and he was able to diagnose the problem on the phone and provide service the same day. Amazing service and absolutely genuine person.

Peter returned my phone calls and emails quickly, showed up on time, and fixed the problem effectively. I would use him again and recommend him to others without hesitation. Great job.

This was the second time that we called Peter. We have been so impressed with his professional and friendly manner, and the man can pretty much fix anything.
I know a lot of people shop around for the cheapest out there, but please don't when it comes to appliance repairs. You get what you pay for.
Peter is very honest about the price of parts, the service call charge and the labour charge. He is transparent. Beware of repair companies that claim to waive the service call charge. It just means they are charging you more for parts, etc.
We have had the stove and the dishwasher repaired.
We highly recommend Peter and his company.

I have used Peter on a couple of occasions. He is not the cheapest on the block however he conducts his business in a professional manner, quality of work is good and very reliable.

This is the second time Peter has provided excellent service at our home. He can usually determine the problem over the phone and order the parts based on the serial number of your appliance. Peter is totally professional, arrives as scheduled and does his work in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to recommend Peter to anyone.

My refrigerator was working intermittently one day. I would get cooling and the next day it would be warm. After contacting a few companies it was the same story that if it works when they get here they couldn't repair it. I contacted Modern Appliance and after speaking with Peter he told me what the problem could be. He asked me for the model number and brought the appropriate part. He replaced the adaptive defrost board and guess what!? I have had no problems since. I am very impressed this company's service. I will only be contacting Modern Appliance for all my appliance repairs.
