This is the third job that Mike has done for us and were already thinking of a fourth. For this job, he installed several ceiling light fixtures, put up our kitchen backsplash, painted our living room and kitchen and did a total re-do of one of our sons rooms (installed new flooring, painted, put in a ceiling fan, built a desk, assembled furniture). Mike is always pleasant to work with and went out of his way to accommodate the changing needs and requests of our teenager. In fact, he checked in with our son daily while the work was being done to make sure he was ok with it, adjusting to the changing requests and fixing any errors. Our son wanted an extremely minimalist room, and we struggled with the desk design. After several days of discussion and Mike spending some of his own time looking at different materials, Mike and our son came up with a simple, inexpensive design that made them both happy (our son because it was a huge, minimalist desk and Mike because it was functional, safe, secure, sturdily built and made our son happy). Mike is always enthusiastic about the changes were making and we feel like hes just as invested as we are. Hes great to discuss changes with and always has a suggestion if were stuck or have thought of something crazy that just wont work. We are not experts and value Mikes opinions. At the same time, we value the fact that hes willing to say when hes not the expert on something and direct you to someone else. He takes great pride in his work and made sure that we knew what he had done each day so that we could inspect and let him know of any issues. For example, the backsplash tile supplier had provided just enough grout for our backsplash which led to some areas with low grout. When we pointed it out to Mike, he made sure to get more grout and go over the job again, making sure everything was good before he moved to his next job. No arguing, no minimizing just fixing. We would absolutely hire Mike again and always recommend him to friends when they ask if we know anyone who does this type of work.

We wanted to do a quick reface for our kitchen with a new high gloss cabinet finish, new appliances and backsplash. Appliances were not included in our cost.

Mike from Welcome Home company did a great job on my house refreshment. He renovated my 3 bathrooms and created an amazing fireplace decoration (see the picture). He is reliable, professional and very skilled. He ran the project efficiently, on time and on budget.

Michael did an incredible job on our main floor powder room. He transformed an ugly, broken-down 1980s-style bathroom into a marbled spa-like oasis. We love it!! Mike from Welcome Home came to inspect a basement bedroom to determine why is was so cold. His findings were that it was not insulated. A full tear down was done, insulation was installed, new drywall and seamless mudding! I would highly recommend Welcome Home for all home Reno’s. I hired Michael from Welcome Home contracting last year to remodel a bathroom in my rental house. He did such a good job on the remodel that I have hired him for several other jobs including replacing flooring, paint, and mill work. I have been impressed by Michael’s punctuality, level of work, and communication throughout the process. I would gladly recommend him to others and I plan to use him for future projects.

Michael replaced our shower pan and doors. Our previous shower pan was not properly level, resulting in water pooling on the shower floor. The sliding doors were difficult to clean and maintain. Over the years, the moisture resulted in paint peeling from the ceiling above the shower, which finally pushed us to make some changes.

We were impressed with Michael’s work ethic and work product, but what stood out the most was Michael’s clear communication and reliability. He did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it. When he ran into complications, he persevered until they were resolved. The straightforward communication was a breath of fresh air compared to prior contractors I had dealt with, and I would recommend Michael in a heartbeat.
