A Pleasant Experience and A Job Well Done!
We had a number of companies contact us because of our request through HomeStars. We had 4 quotes done of which two were grossly overpriced and two were about the same. We finally decided on Universal. From the estimator, to work crew/installers and office personnel we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The crew was friendly and you could tell they new their business.
We replaced all of our light fixtures (approx. 15), and had a couple of plugs and light switches changed out etc. The crew even spotted a light fixture put in by a previous owner as not meeting code and addressed that problem while doing the install.
Until the issue to do with code they would have completed everything in about 9 hours (=$115/hr. incl. service call fees and taxes). I find this price to be fair especially when compared to the two that were overpriced coming at $2-$2500. Story here is do your homework because we would have been taken advantage of had we gone with two of the four who provided quotes.
We'd be happy to use this company again and refer them to friends and family.
