Mike did a great job on our front porch deck product. His pricing was fair, and there were no surprises part way into the project. The project stayed on budget and finished ahead of schedule. He maintained a clean job site, and was always happy to answer any questions we had along the way. I've never been this satisfied with a contractor before. His attention to detail was incredible, making sure everything was perfect. I will be recommending him to everyone I know who is looking for any woodworking to be done. When he showed us his past work it is clear he has a great deal of experience with decks and fences, framing, pergolas, and much more! Thanks Mike!!

Micheal worked extremely hard and efficiently and completed the entire job in 2 days. We are entirely satisfied with the work that was completed and would recommend him without hesitation.

Mike started work to help rebuild a century old garage which once was a carriage house. It was quickly determined that the structure and foundation where not worthy of salvaging. Mike worked creatively to find solutions and the end result is exceptional.

We met with MJL and described generally what we were looking for in terms of a Pergola for the deck and hot tub area in our back yard. MJL took it from there from design to material selection and construction. In very short order we had a finished pergola that exceeded our expectations-a highly finished product with a classy custom look that sets our yard apart. Mike completed the fence on time, on budget and the final product was stunning. Him and his crew were extremely professional. They cleaned everything up nicely and worked the weekend to get it completed quickly as we have a pool.

Michael is an extremely hard worker. He removed the old decking, taking away the rotting debris to keep the area clean, which was important because our dogs still needed to have access to the area. We discussed several options regarding size, stairway access to the backyard and design; Mike came up with drawings that suited our needs. Mike and his crew have a super work ethic, on the job early and worked the whole day. Our deck was completed in the time he had quoted. After 25 years of using a narrow , metal circular stairway, it's a pleasure to be able to walk out to the garden from our wide wooden stairway. Our deck can now easily accommodate 8-10 for dinners as well as a BBQ and plants. Thanks a million MJL Woodworking!!!

Very steep, rocky difficult terrain to install over 80’ of stairs. Michael and his crew did an excellent job, working in tough conditions. The results were outstanding, completed on time and exactly to budget. Would highly recommend this company.

We had an upper deck that came with the house and wanted an attached
lower deck to finish it off and add more space. Mike did a fantastic job of matching and adding a beautiful railing, steps, and even a storage box/bench. We are very pleased with his work.

Mike is a hard working guy who does good work. He’s fast and reliable. If you choose him as you’re contractor, you won’t be disappointed.
