We have been looking for a reliable electrician to do some minor repairs in our 100yr old home. Derek was knowledgeable, thorough and honest when giving us his estimate and opinion on the jobs which included repairing light fixtures, installing a new ceiling fan and what electrical needs would be required for a hot tub.
He arrived when he said he would, was respectful of our space and efficient with his time to fix 2 non-functioning lights.
I would most definitely recommend DB Electric.

My old ceiling fan had blown a fuse, so I called to schedule an appointment. The guy was highly professional and when he found he couldn't fix it, advised me on the best kind of replacement. Once I'd gotten the replacement and contacted him to schedule for the installation, he was able to fit me in for the next day. He thoroughly tested the fan to ensure it worked perfectly and made sure I was happy with the work done.

Derek answered my initial request & came & did the job the next day. He was extremely courteous & cleaned up when the job was finished. He also took away the fan for disposal. Very pleased.

Derek was quick to respond. Gave me the details I needed in case I needed to replace the fan. Arrived early and assessed the older fan needed a new receiver. Gave me the option of replacing the receiver or installing a new fan so I went with the new fan. He did it in no time. Would recommend again.

Derek replaced old fan for new fan with led lights in bedroom, replaced fluorescent lighting for led fixture in kitchen with dimmer, and removed fan in dining area and replaced it with led pendant light with dimmer in dining area. Derek was prompt, efficient, calm. Very happy with his work. Highly recommend him.

Derik installed light switches in my two bathrooms. He was courteous, prompt, reasonable cost, very happy with his service, will choose him again for other electrical needs.

I needed work done in my basement on an electrical switch that stopped working. Derek of DB Electric replaced the switch, installed a new plug and a new light fixture which was badly wired previously. I was so relieved that he took the time to check everything out thoroughly! He is a polite and honest man. Would definitely recommend him.

Derek showed up on time, ran into some complications that were not if his making and stuck with the job until it was completed. Even though there was extra work he stuck with his quote.

Derek, of DB Electric, was punctual, polite, friendly and responsive. Derek knew his job, and worked quickly and carefully (in spite of my constant chattering). He used his time efficiently, made sure everything was working properly, cleaned up the site, and left all in perfect order. I would recommend Derek without any hesitation whatsoever.

Derek was fast, friendly and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend DB Electric for any electrical service needs. He ran conduit and two lines from the house, bonded and connected all the pool equipment to ground. Can’t wait to go swimming now!
