I hired Magnolia for a full bathroom renovation with design services provided by their designer. I paid my first deposit months before work started with the agreement that work would be completed by the end of November, 2020.
Project management was poor and the project was completed on March 22, 2021.
Tile work was good. Vanity counter top was installed a bit crooked. White paint did not fully cover primer in some areas. Toilet paper holder was overlapped slightly by the towel rack causing towels to interfere with toilet paper.
The plumber they subcontracted installed the shower faucet knob backwards, so hot was cold and cold was hot. The plumber also installed this knob so that it spun freely, even though it was designed to stop at certain points. The plumber initially came back to fix both issues, but was only able to fix the hot/cold issue, even though both were said to be fixed. After coming back again the plumber was finally able to fix the faucet install so that it did not freely spin.
The biggest issues, even bigger than the project management and timeline issues, came from their designer who they work with, Kelly at Unique Spaces. If you are considering working with Magnolia, I strongly recommend against working with Unique Spaces.
