Star Moon Roofing

We had our roof shingles replaced by Star Moon Roofing yesterday, September 3, 2020.

I sent a text to get a quote from Star Moon Roofing and I got a response from Joyce in within a couple of minutes.

Joyce and her husband Li came over the next day, did a thorough visual inspection at the roof, showed me photos of a few problems up there, measured the area, and gave me the quote right there. Joyce showed me all the details of the work to be done, the choices of shingles and its cost, choice of additional material cost, warranties, samples of different brand shingles, etc., she had everything written and was very clear.

Joyce confirmed with me the day before the scheduled work. Li and his crew: Jie, Wei and Yang were punctual. They worked hard and diligently. The job site was kept very clean and when they were all done, they did a great job cleaning up everywhere. The gutters were cleaned and they even used a dust blower on the roof to dust-off the shingles. Li showed me photos of the finished work on the roof. Amazing job!

It rained last night and for the first time in the last couple of years, I had a peace of mind, I was not worried about shingles flying off the roof, plywood getting wet or possible leaking somewhere in the ceiling because I was confident of the team's work.

Overall, we are very impressed, happy and satisfied with Joyce friendly, quick response, patience, honesty, knowledge and organization; her husband Li, Jie, Wei and Yang for their exceptional work. The team were very respectful, courteous, reliable, attentive and professional. Great professional job all around. A great job from start to finish!

My wife and I own a historical designated house in the Brampton area, and desperately needed a new roof.

We had several roofers out to provide quotes, including one who flew a drone over and wanted to completely replace the original hundred year old roofing boards with plywood. All seemed to just see dollar signs and tried to up sell unnecessary services.

Then a family Member recently had their roof replaced by Star Moon and highly recommended them. Joyce and her husband travelled from Scarborough to give us a quote. We were immediately impressed by their professionalism, and no-nonsense approach. They gave us a quote on the spot, and it was much more in line with our budget. As we are in a historical home- we were somewhat difficult and requested higher end materials which greatly increased the cost, but Joyce was able to find us savings by offering options for different materials.

In total- we paid less than other quoted prices from other roofers for standard quality shingles with our upgraded shingles and the many boards that needed replacing.

The team showed up just after 8:00 am every day, and left just before dark. Each day they worked right through with a very quick lunch break. Each night the worksite was SPOTLESS. I can’t overstate how clean everything was!!

Their work and Joyce’s communications exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Joyce and her team did an excellent work for our roof. They answered all our questions patiently and helped us pick the material and color. They offered us a very reasonable price without extra charge for the newly built porch roof. Our house is a bit complicated with three small additions, they came early and left late to get all work done appropriately, special thanks to Mr. Lee and his team! They were very transparent in the whole process and shared pictures for each step. I already recommended them to my framer and neighbours. If you seek a roofing company with good price and quality work, I would definitely recommend them for their honest and professionism.

After a recent downpour, our previously patched roof started leaking again. Star Moon came out the next morning and said they could repair the area. The price they quoted was lower than we were expecting so we went with it. They said they could come back the next week because they were busy. When they realized that it was going to rain on the weekend, they decided to come back the next day to ensure it was fixed before more rain came. We were very appreciative of their consideration and their fast work and response. They came the next morning and did the work within 2 hours. If we have any more roof issues, we'll be calling them back. Joyce also texted after the work was done to follow up. Great customer service.

The company Star Moon Roofing installed a new roof on my semi detached home last week. I have been very satisfied through all the steps dealing with the company. Their price was very reasonable.
They went ahead and put underpayment for all the roof, more than what was described in contract. The shingles instalment was very good.
The work was very efficient and finished on time.

They did a super cleaning job at end of day. They were always very courteous and professional.

I highy recommend this company - very competitive price and very professional service. The roofers arrived promptly, worked solidly throughout the day, added even more vents ( 3 and we had had only 1 in the roof - on their own initiative), and cleaned up everthing at the end of the job. Very pleased with the work that has been done. The job was above and beyond, which my family is very happy about. Very reliable team, did everything that was asked for. We had an issue with leakage in our garage roof prior to their job and this team made sure not even a single drop would get through. it is a very hard working crew. almost non stop for whole day except for a quick lunch. be prepared they come earlier than the scheduled time. joyce is the biggest asset of the company
