After a long search to get my basement renovated I called Should have got us. So glad I did. Larry listens to what you want done. He explains everything he is doing , comes up with ideas for problem areas that work. Keeps you informed at every step and wants to make sure you are happy with the work he has done. Couldn't be happier with the renovation Larry did. I now have the basement I have wanted for so long. At a very reasonable price..

Larry was a pleasure to deal with. He and his 2-man crew extended/ buried 3 downspouts for us (dug trenches and pits, lined with gravel, laid drainpipe, filled back the earth/restored the areas). They also re-levelled an interlocking stone walkway, a job required due to our previous contractor’s poor workmanship. They showed up when he said they would, worked hard, finished on schedule and cleaned up after. The quote was reasonable and there were no surprises. Also, Larry sourced all the required materials, which was appreciated! As he was leaving, he grabbed a planer out of his truck and fixed our sticking gate. If you need a great, good and honest hanydyman, Larry is the guy you need! He did our bathroom tile replacement and turned out great! Fence repairs is one of those things contractors overprice because there is no money in it for the effort invested. Because of this the quotes received are inflated. That is until I met Larry through Homestars.

His quote was reasonable. He suggestions were insightful and on the mark and his service was professional. Larry kept me appraised of the progress as the project moved along. His team was great. All was delivered as promised and the team left the work area spotless.

Larry and Brad from ShouldaGotUs are life savers. I had my deck renovated a few weeks earlier but my choice of contractor was a bad one, and so was the job they performed. Boards were loose, posts were wobbly, and the entire deck needed a rework to make it safe and secure.

Not wanting to make the same mistake twice, I used Homestars to find a competent contractor. Enter Larry! He was the first to respond to my work request and, unlike the other two responders, he impressed me during both our telephone conversation and his onsite visit to assess the job.

Larry is a professional and a gentleman, and I'm very happy that I decided to go with him. Brad made up the two-man crew. He is a very industrious young man with boundless energy and a willingness to do anything.

They quickly tackled my botched deck, and completely removed everything back down to the joists so they could ensure the frame was solid and square. Cross supports were added to the joists where deemed necessary, and then the posts and boards were re-installed securely and professionally. Larry checked in with us regularly to ensure the product they were delivering was what we wanted, and he was always able to accommodate our wishes, including some unique solutions. The icing on the cake was when they finished by sanding the wood and applying a sealer that restored our deck to its former beauty.

Larry was very careful to manage costs during the project because he was sympathetic to my having paid for the previous contactors poor work. He was able to re-use most of the existing wood and provided receipts for any additional material he had to purchase.

I am grateful that I found Larry and highly recommend him.

Larry is the real deal. Hired him and his crew to redesign and rebuild my old deck, which was poorly constructed and in terrible shape.

He did not disappoint.

From initial phone call through to post-job follow-up text messages, Larry was warm, sincere and extremely informative. As a sole proprietor, it's clear he takes a great deal of pride in his work. It's also obvious that he is personally invested in his projects.

He was up front and transparent about costs and proposed a number of ideas that allowed us to save money on materials. Before even laying down the first board, Larry started by overhauling the poorly built deck frame and foundation, making it square and level, reinforcing every single support beam. He made sure everything was super solid before proceeding.

His estimate for quantity of materials required was spot on. And his design ideas increased our deck space significantly while using the same underlying framing footprint. He even took on the challenge of rebuilding two new sets of stairs, perfectly level of course. My family and I have spent more time outside than inside since the deck was completed.

Throughout the entire process, Larry was quick to share his knowledge and expertise - something I really appreciated. Made me realize how much of a gem this guy is. They really don't make them like him anymore.
