Sep 2020: patio door, 4 windows, and front door with sidelites ordered
With covid in mind, obviously there would be delays.
-Unprofessional measurement tech came in, took no care with our walls/window casing when he was removing it and managed to damage several areas.
-End of Jan: patio door was installed, albeit not well. Had to get a service call to have someone adjust it in order for it to slide properly. Service call was done quickly and properly. That was the first positive
-Early Feb: windows. The measurements taken were well off the mark and gaps nearly 3-4 inches on all sides, giving us smaller windows than we should have received. We opted for a $credit rather than waiting another several months for new windows (mistake). The window installers did well with what they were given.
-Late march (6months): received our door. Installer completely missed the booked time, worked until 10pm. Door measurements were again completely off, with gaps 3-4 inches on all sides. Forgot to put in our doorbell wiring. Hideous caulking job with large air gaps which were 'serviced' the next day (no salvaging it really). Fingerprint inside the sealed frosted glass planes. Chipped our door hardware during install, took the box for door hardware which we provided, and unfortunately we have no chance of returning as it's not compatible with our August lock. Awful mess around the work area which was hardly cleaned up as the installer apparently does not own a shop vac.
-multiple service calls were made to inspect the job in which agreements were made to have this fixed
-We paid our balance in full as soon as all jobs were completed. We relied on their reputation for service and this is a regret and we recommend that you withhold any final payments as we now have no recourse and they won't give you the time of day as they've already taken your money.
-Nordik has been proactive 0 times. We tried being patient and accomodating through the entire process but having to check in every 3-4 weeks to see if any changes have been made is a headache in itself. 3 months later we're still getting the run around, with no repairs on our damaged walls, none of the $credit that was promised, and no updates on the work being done,
-Take your hard earned money elsewhere and get a better deal. This would have been expected had we opted for the cheapest price and a no name contractor.
Feelings aside (granted this much headache is never worth it), 3 stars for a good product. As title indicates, we had different installers every time. A satisfying result was produced 1 of 3 times.
