Late August I got some quotes for furnace replacement and new central air install. Owen from Wamboldt was the only one to actually take room and window size measurements to have software ensure that the right size of equipment would be used. Owen would also be doing the install, and I have to say it is nice to be able to communicate with the person at sales time who is actually going to be doing the work. The quote came in very reasonable compared to the others. On install day, Owen and Matt showed up to do the work. Nice guys, very hardworking, easy to talk to. It blew my mind that they were able to do it all in one day. Owen came back a couple of weeks later to make static pressure measurements and deal with a couple of trivial issues. I love the fact that the new electronic thermostat is integrated with the Rheem system and gives me operating telemetry in real time such as fan air cubic feet per minute and fan rpm, total static pressure, duct air return temp, and diagnostic information. My A/C won't be operational until the spring but I don't anticipate any problems.

We had utilized Owen's services to move and re-route our A/C this summer and asked if he would take a look at our furnace humidifier. He did and as we suspected, needed replacing. Owen prepared an estimate for us and we scheduled the work of October.

Once the work was done and Owen invoiced us, we noticed that the invoice cost was lower than the estimate provided. Upon inquiring why the lower price as the original price was very good, Owen said that the work took less time that he anticipated so that was why the lower total.

We would not have even noticed this at all. this truly speaks to Owen's standards and ethical practice. We highly recommend him.

Owen came over to relocate our furnace and AC. I could not be more amazed at the quality of work. Not only did he perform a heat loss calculation, he made sure my pipes and ducts were sized correctly (no other contractor did this and tried to sell me a bigger furnace than was necessary). What was most impressive was how knowledgeable he was. Wamboldt heating and Air conditioning was by far the best heating contractor I’ve ever dealt with and will have no one else take care of my HVAC equipment. 10/10 would recommend.

We have an AC unit that was installed about 3 years ago by a different company. They came back several times and were never able to get it to work properly. It would run, but stop cooling. A second contactor also made an attempt to repair it last year but was unsuccessful. Both suggested they could sell us a new unit to resolve the problem.

Owen looked it over an immediately recognized the problem, which was actually fairly minor. Even after fixing it, he continued to test to make sure the problem was actually solved. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. Coupled with being courteous and clearly concerned with doing a great job makes him a cut above anyone else!

We were referred to Owen of Wamboldt Heating and Air Conditioning and contacted him to set up a time to meet and discuss options for a new replacement hot water tank. He was very accommodating and met us the next day and from the day we met until the day he completed the job, he was always polite, professional and very personable. He is so knowledgeable in his work and gave us recommendations and options based on what we required. He answered all of our questions and provided us with some quotes that evening. He did an excellent job with the removal of the tank and installation of the new one. He even took the time to leave the old tank in our garage so that it was easily accessible for the pickup. He left the work area clean and the tank working perfectly. He followed-up with us to ensure everything was to our liking and that the water was heated up nicely. He also took the time to explain the warranty and let us know that he’s always available if we need anything at all.

My furnace was having issues consistently blowing warm air and would actually blow cold air from time to time. I reached out to Owen based on his great reviews on Homestars. He got back to me right away, scheduling a time to come by the next day, and also provided me with some things to try in the meantime. After his visit he followed up with me to ensure everything was working properly. A few days later the furnace wasn't quite right. He came at 11pm and within 30 minutes had everything working. He once again followed up after his visit to ensure everything is still fine, which it still is to this day.

He's the real deal and lives up to his 97% rating. He's got my ongoing business.

I shopped around for quotes, and was very impressed with Owen’s attention to detail when determining the appropriate sized unit for my house. He is clearly very knowledgeable (he answered all of my questions and explained his recommendations very well - far more compelling than any of the other quotes I received, and at a better cost!). Scheduling was easy and installation all went as planned. He and his colleague were very pleasant, professional, and tidied up well. Owen also took care to remind me that I have a full parts and labour warranty, and to call if ever I have an issue — and not to feel badly about it, even if it’s the middle of the night. Everything works great. I did follow up with a question about my thermostat settings, and Owen was quick to respond (and even offered to come by to check it out in person). He even followed up with me to ensure his suggestion worked (it did).
