Benny’s Ceiling Stucco Removal Drywall Specialist

So pleased that I came across Benny in Home Stars to remove the popcorn ceiling in multiple bedrooms and also do some wall painting in addition to the ceiling priming and painting. Benny is a craftsman and clearly enjoys his job. The ceilings are impeccable. Really I don't think it is possible to get a better job and his pricing was much better than I was quoted elsewhere. Benny is also a wonderful guy as an added bonus. I can't recommend him highly enough.

The scope of this work involved a large room receiving drywall, insulation, sanding, paint and removal of plaster lathe. All delivered within budget and to a very high standard.

Benny is considerate and always leaves a clean and tidy workspace. If you have worked with contractors, you know how difficult this outcome is to achieve. Benny is easy to work with and would bring him in on future projects without hesitation.

Benny recently removed the popcorn ceilings in my upstairs bedrooms and hallways and then did same in my basement. Excellent job neatly done. Both areas were cleaned up perfectly afterward. My wife and I are so happy we did this. Changes the whole appearance of the living area. Thank you.

After some renovations gone wrong, Benny restored our painted popcorn condo ceiling to a flat finish. He came to see our place, gave us an excellent quote (which was lower than several of his competitors), and did a job that left us literally speechless. We spent days straining our necks admiring how phenomenal his work was. We have been trying to get the popcorn ceiling remove from our new home for the past 8 months. We've had contractors come in and either not quote or provide costs that were so astronomical it was impossible to do the work. Benny came in took a look at the job and knew exactly what needed to be done. He had the right equipment and expereince that not only did it get done way faster than I thought but it turned out much nicer that I thought it would as well. Benny was very through in covering all the floors and walls so clean up was minimal. Dust is always going to happen but it was very managable with all the care they took in closing everything off.

Oh - we also got the walls painted and it turned out great as well!! We are thinking of finishing our garage and will be calling Benny back to drywall and paint when it is time.

We hired Benny's team for plastering of the ceiling in our condo, and we couldn't be any happier!!!
After the initial site visit, he provided detailed cost estimate and committed to the timelines, that were both later on met.

There was around 800 s.f. of an old popcorn ceiling in our two-level unit that Benny turned into a beautiful smooth finish! There was also a small demolition scope, where he had to take down kitchen bulkhead and level the ceiling between the dining room and kitchen. Looking at that area of the ceiling now, I could never tell we used to have a wall there.

Benny was very responsive and punctual, honouring the timelines and agreement. The condo (construction site) was very well organized and always left clean at the end of the working day. He also did a great job in protecting floors, windows, kitchen and closets, to minimized the dust spread.

Benny was very friendly to work with, especially since I had many questions about the work (and construction in general).
I would recommend Benny for any work on popcorn ceilings and drywall. I will definitely be his returning customer, for any work of this nature in the future.

My experience with Benny was top notch. My initial conversation with him was courteous, knowledgeable and very professional. He showed up on time as scheduled and his workmanship was beyond what I expected. We had old, textured ceilings with many imperfections and cracks. After only 2 1/2 days, our ceiling was smoothed out and the cracks/imperfections were fixed. Benny went above and beyond to make sure the job was done to perfection. My family and I are truly amazed at how beautiful our ceiling looks now. We will definitely recommend him to family and friends. He quickly accommodated a smaller job in a downtown condo without any fuss or extra charges of other contractors (eg charging parking or "downtown" fees). His work was meticulous and turned out beautiful. You would have no idea that there were popcorn ceilings were there before.

He was responsive to and patient with all my incessant questions as a first time homeowner. He patched holes in the wall and ceiling left by my electricians free of charge. He even got me an amazing deal on repainting the entire condo (while the condo was small, the paint job was no small feat given the amount of repair work that needed to be done on some of the walls and the very dark colours on some walls that needed to be repainted a few times over).
