The final product exceeded ANY expectation. We could not even imagine that once unfinished basement was going to look this incredible. There were few hiccups along the way, but
every request was resolved quickly and in timely manner. Every single person from Capable was polite, friendly knowledgeable and extremely professional. Shout-out to Ludmila, Yan, Vlad, Amar, and all sub-contractors that worked tirelessly to give us this incredible new space that we will enjoy for many many years ahead. We had basement renovations done in our townhome. We found Capable to have competitive pricing. But what drew us to them is the organized, professional approach in the quoting process. They understood our vision and helped us understand the process.
They stuck to their timelines and provided great service. It was not a flawless experience but they resolved all of our concerns within days, sometimes within hours. The end product exceeded our expectations. Special mention to Vlad for addressing all of our concerns without issue. Also special mention to the handyman with the red hair who worked tirelessly to add the finishing touches to our space. We likely were not the easiest customers, but they made us feel like our opinions and concerns were valued. Excellent work.

With Covid going on, I had been working from home for almost a year. It has its perks and setbacks, but the thing that was bothering me was that I was working in a completely unfinished basement. It almost felt like a dungeon; no light, no bathroom, cold. Staring at the pink insulation on the walls got really tiresome.

After careful selection from a few contracting companies, I went with Capable Group to finish it and they surpassed my expectations in practically every regard. The estimated job cost was accurate and there were no hidden expenses (foundation cracks and floor levelling do cost extra but that is standard). There are customizations you can take which will cost extra on top of the estimate (i.e. moving a duct so there is no bulkhead), but Capable Group are transparent and will tell you how much it will cost to do so. The work was being done by friendly contractors and if there was ever any hiccup or mistake (there were not many), I could tell them confidently and it would be fixed at no additional cost. The job was also done on time and I am extremely happy with how it turned out. I now have plenty of light, a designated office space, a vinyl record wall, a functioning basement bar, a bathroom, and a beautiful entertainment area. No more dungeon.

If you are like me and you are working from home in a tiny office room or in a dark basement, I highly recommend that you finish it. It's done wonders for me and I actually look forward to coming down to the basement in the mornings because it's such a lively space now.

We are expecting our first born in April 2021 so we needed to have our full basement renovated. Yan from Capable group was courteous, understanding and by far the most competitive with pricing.
