I called Home Water this afternoon to update my credit card information. The young lady that I dealt with (don't recall her name) explained that if I changed the payment to come from my chequing account I would save $3/month. And, I do love to save money wherever I can.

I called the customer service today and requested a technician to come on site to replace a jammed water filter. The customer service explained that this is normally a paid service, but it will be waived for me based on my long time contract period. I was happy to get this service charge waived by the company. This was an example of great customer retention.
