Son Serg and father Andrew were the only estimate that solved my ongoing problem of raccoons ripping off shingles around multiple air vents on top of the roof. They suggested eliminating 10 vents in favour of two high capacity metal chimney-style vents. Not only was the raccoon problem solved, but the shingling around the vents was attached with extra adhesive due to my raccoon paranoia. I was so happy with the job that I recommended them to my friend, a builder, who is similarly impressed with their expertise. When we realized that we need to replace a flat roof underneath our deck which is being renovated, we contacted Andrew as well as a couple of other contractors. In addition to offering a good price, Andrew described the whole process and it was obvious that he certainly knows how to do it. Despite a small area there was a few challenges with the project and we wanted to do it right. Choosing the Home Star roofing was a definitely the right decision.
It was also a time sensitive project which had to be done right after the old deck had been demolished so that the new structure can be built and our deck contractors don't waste too much time.
Again choosing the Home Star was the right decision, even though it was a really busy time for roofing contractors, Andrew and Sergey did manage to find a window for our project.
So now we have an excellent new flat roof, it was already tested by a few of days of rain - no leaks.

When we realized we needed a new roof before winter set in, we got 3 quotes from 3 different companies. Home Star's quote was the lowest and we also liked the fact that they are a father and son team, so we went with them. Sergio - the son met with us soon after we called and provided a great selection of Canadian made architectural shingles to choose from. He also privided us with images of additional product options for our consideration, which was very helpful in making an informed decision. Once we chose our product(s), Sergio provided us with a mutually convenient date to do the work. Not only did Sergio and his team of professional roofers show up on the agreed date, they finished the work in one day and exactly as quoted - no extra charges! During the removal of the existing tiles they photographed evidence of our existing vents not being properly installed and swiftly fixed the problem with no extra charge. We also asked them to remove a leaking and unused metal chimney stack and 3 panes of cracked security glass which they did with no hesitation - and again no extra charge. After they were finished shingling, Sergio and his team cleaned up our property so proficiently with a broom/ leaf blower and metal detector that even our neighbours came out to congratulate them on a job well done. The Home Star team did an amazing job of resurfacing my large flat roof. They were very professional and friendly, explaining what needed to be done at each stage. The job was done within given timeframes and quoted price. They worked very hard sometimes putting in 12 hour days. I highly recommend them!

The shingles were installed according to manufactures specifications is the step pattern… I've seen other companies not doing this. They were quick and a pleasure to work with and they take great pride in their workmanship.

(I have a bungalow with a pretty complicated roof.) 3. Excellent quality, excellent product. 4.
