Robert and his team have been wonderful to work with. On our first meeting Robert really took the time to listen, while offering his advice when we asked for his opinion.
He also checked in regularly to ensure we were happy with the work being done. His team also consulted us on various aspects of the work- instead of just choosing for us, which we really appreciated. We are very happy with the outcome, and his team was a lot of fun to work with. It seemed like they enjoyed their jobs- and this made the experience even better. We replaced our home’s wood siding with Hardie boards. We installed board and batten and shingles. From the beginning, Robert was very helpful in walking us through this job and provided a detailed quote that laid out all aspects of the job. He was always available for our questions and provided us with valuable advice and options when we discovered other issues with our house as the job progressed. He was committed to helping us get the results we wanted and always fair and very responsive to our goals. The entire crew was very professional, friendly, and very diligent. They really treated our home like it was their own and went above and beyond to deliver a beautiful end result, despite several challenges that our older home presented.

We are very happy with the results and are very glad we engaged P.C.L. They are a great company and we would recommend them to all our friends and family.

PCL was contracted by my builder to do the installation of aluminum and Hardie board installation, as well as all aluminum soffits, fascia and eaves. Tricky job at times since there was additions to the original 100 year house. The guys were amazing. Every little detail was taken into account and they did things that really made the look of the house pop. They were great with the neighbours and it was easy to ask questions. Even chatted with the owner who was checking on his guys and making sure everything was done perfectly. Couldn't have been more happy with the work they have done.

We recently had PCL Interior & Exterior Finishes complete installation siding of my whole house. The crew had to rip out the pre-existing siding and re-install the new material. I can’t tell you how happy we are, the strapping that was done on my house was astonishing, even my neighbors were amazed by their work. PCL takes great pride in what they offer. From assisting me with which material to chose for the siding, to the detail and precision of the installation process. We met several times to plan what we wanted. The team of employees were great to work with, they were the most genuine crew I have ever met. It was a pleasure seeing them everyday for three months, they always had the biggest smiles on their faces. They became like family! The amount of care for our home, lifestyle, and craftsmanship was evident from day one. My family and I have been living in this home for 30 years and we are amazed with how the exterior of our house turned out, it is a totally facelift. The attention to detail and executing exactly what we wanted was unmatched. I hope I do not miss anyone but a huge shoutout to Serge, Damian, Frank, TK, Carlos, Cameron and the owner Rob and to all the employees who re-created our family home. I would highly recommend PCL to anyone who has a home project to be done. Thank-you does not seem like enough to say to the PCL crew! You are all amazing!

Robert and his crew are professional and dependable. I’ve known Robert and have availed myself of his expertise for many years. He is infallibly pleasant to deal with.

Our old white siding - installed before we moved in - was warping and vinyl pieces were falling off the front of our house. After comparing reviews and estimates, we hired PCL. We were impressed by how knowledgeable Robert was who did the estimate and that he used his own people to do the work. PCL also used James Hardie products which we liked (and had on the back extension of our house). When the work began, the PCL team had to remove several layers of old shingles under the white siding. And they did this in hot and humid weather without complaint and with good humour. My wife and I were impressed by the team’s thoroughness and professionalism. They were detail oriented and responsive to our questions. Each night when PCL finished they did a thorough cleanup around the work site. As part of the work PCL arranged for spray foam to be added so there was better insulation beneath the siding. When the project was done, we were very pleased with the end result and we received positive feedback from our neighbours. We would definitely hire PCL again. In fact we plan to do so next year when we get the same siding added to the side and back of our house.

From my first meeting with Rob to discuss re-siding my house with Hardie board, PCL has gone above and beyond what most contractors will do. Before even beginning the project, Rob provided three different quotes/options for the siding (it took me a while to realize Rob’s original approach was the right one), answered all my questions and generally displayed the patience of a saint. Whenever a problem arose or I changed my mind about something or expanded the scope of the project, Rob responded immediately and got his team or other contractors to sort things out.

As for the quality of PCL’s workmanship, it is excellent. My house is 130-years-old and there were a number of surprises and challenges along the way that got dealt with quickly and professionally: three layers of siding that had to be removed, asbestos, windows and doors that stuck out too far after removing that many layers of house, shoddy work from previous renovations and a lot of finessing to compensate for crooked everything. Rob’s team, led by Greg, who is all about the little details that kick things up a notch from a good job to a great job, took everything in stride. Greg always talked me through the problem, presented options and helped me make big and small decisions about what to do. With Greg running the show, a lot of angst and meltdowns were averted!

Regarding budget, this was a well managed project. The only person who blew the budget was me by constantly adding on extra work. When working through the scope and project quote, I asked Rob what sort of contingency fund I should budget for given the age of my house, neglect and unknown damage from water and carpenter ants, all of which were issues. Barring structural damage, Rob said 10 per cent would more than cover any problems that might need to be addressed. He was right on the money— including unexpected and pricey asbestos abatement, extra costs associated with the original scope of the quote fell well within 10 per cent of the total budget.

Finally, I have to give a shout out to Greg, Frank, Carlos, TK and Sergio who worked their magic and did such an excellent job. Working from home due to Covid, I can’t imagine spending 4.5 weeks with a better or nicer group of people taking over my yard, tearing my house apart and putting it all back together again. Their integrity, work ethic, skill and craftsmanship, camaraderie and good humour made a long, noisy, dirty and disruptive process a pleasure. They were also great with my neighbours, who watched the project unfold. Everybody liked the guys, was impressed with the quality of their work and have nothing but compliments about the finished product.

I can’t recommend PCL highly enough. PCL is not the cheapest company they’re worth every penny!
