Ziegler Garage Doors

We just had a new belt-driven garage door opener installed for our double garage door, could not be happier with it and how smoothly it works. Don Ziegler was wonderful to deal with and is very prompt, courteous, and efficient. He also installed a keyless entry pad, and included an extra remote control. We would not hesitate to recommend him.

We recently purchased a large 20 year old home. It has needed a lot of repair an maintenance. I deal with a lot of contractors. I have never met a kinder, more responsive, honest, knowledgeable, skilled, reasonably priced contractor than Don Ziegler. We have two, three-car garages. Don has already repaired two of our garage doors. He is excellent in every way. I highly recommend Ziegler Garage Doors!

Highly Recommended. When my elderly parent’s garage door opener stopped working after 26 years, we needed a reliable quality replacement at a reasonable cost by a solid local company / installer. We shopped the local Calgary market in June of 2017. And of the 11 garage door installation companies we shortlisted, we found Ziegler Garage Doors to in the very top tier of installers based on a number of factors that we carefully considered. Ziegler Garage Doors was recommended to us by another mainstream garage door installation company that was swamped. After communicating with Don at Ziegler Garage Doors, we were quite favourably impressed with our communications with him, his sincerity, straightforward insights and a very reasonable quote. He addressed our concerns given the tight constraints in our parent’s tiny older style garage, winning us over with his knowledge and assurances. We learned from the other company that Don has construction woodworking skills which would likely prove quite helpful. He was also able to schedule an install within just a few days. Although we did not ultimately select Ziegler Garage Doors, we feel that we would have been quite satisfied with the end result if we did. Our final decision was a tight and very close one.

Don was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. It took almost no time to diagnose the problem (broken cable) - for which other companies charge a pretty penny. Then he proceeded to promptly, efficiently and expertly fix the door. Honestly, I am SO glad I somehow got his contact information as I much, much, much preferred having the 'little guy' benefit from my business as opposed to a large business with fancy phone systems and bells and whistles. Don did an excellent job, was very professional and entertained my toddler for the hour it took to complete the job. I certainly hope he's still doing this work next time I need a job done but I have this feeling he did such a good job that I won't need it looked at any time soon. Thanks Don!

UPDATE: Called Don for another job and was thrilled that he was available on short notice. Don is such a kind individual and so quick and efficient in getting the job done. I'll continue to call him when I need him, hands down!

I had a damaged garage door that had torn up hinges, expelled rollers and twisted the rails. Don came by less than 24 hours after I called him, replaced everything that needed replacing, straightened everything that needed straightening, adjusted the spring tension and adjusted the opener. He was clean, pleasant and fast, and I would heartily recommend him

Really pleased to have hired Don Ziegler to fix our garage door. I had tried another vendor first on Home Stars because he had more stars. He was unable to come today so he referred Don. Don was really nice and came today to fix our door. His pricing was very fair (just the service call fee) and he gave us tips for maintenance and care. I would definitely use him again and refer him. He was not familiar with Home Stars when I told him I would give him a rating. Some contractors/repair people don't know about this service or the value it brings which explains why they don't promote it and have no or few stars. Don deserves lot of stars!

Don was referred to me by one of his competitors. I called a different company, they were very busy couldn't take care of my job right away they had him call me. He made it over to the job site within a couple of hours, he installed a new garage door opener for a very reasonable price. He was very pleasant and professional, I truly enjoyed the work he did for me. I am planning to call him next year when I need to replace two garage doors.
