Our furnace was "red tagged" on November 28 after a routine maintenance call. (cracked heat exchanger) We were told by three other companies that it would be a very expensive fix and the best option would be a new furnace since the existing one was 15 years old. There were varying stories about whether the heat exchanger was under warranty or not. We called the manufacturer, Carrier, on December 2nd for clarification. They passed on the details of our situation to a dealer and within 2 hours Hargrave called us and shortly after sent a technician to our house. He explained that the repair would cost significantly less than other companies had quoted and he also provided a quote on a new unit also at a significantly lower price on the same model furnace. We opted for the new furnace and the installers were out early the next day and completed the job quickly and efficiently.
We have been telling our friends and family about our experience and praising the responsiveness and honesty that your company has demonstrated. They followed up the next day to ensure that we were satisfied with the work that was done. Very impressive! Going forward, Hargrave is the only company we will be dealing with for our heating and air conditioning needs.
