Technician

I am very satisfied with their services. The technician was prompt on time he even came earlier than the appointment time waiting on my drive way. He was very mannerly and a pleasant person. I explained about the problem I'm having with the dryer and he immediately pulled out his tools and diagnosed the problem and he found the dryer switch was defective. Fortunately for us he had one in his truck and he installed it immediately. I was very impressed with the technician he is very knowledgeable and he knew exactly what to do.

Problem cancelling parts order

Error code on Miele dishwasher. The serviceman appeared promptly and advised that two parts were needed - cost $245. He made a point of checking somewhere on his phone to make sure the parts were available and advised that they were and would be available in 5-7 days. On that basis we placed the service order and paid half the costs (about $250). A week later we got an email saying the parts were back ordered. I immediately cancelled the order (I bought a new dishwasher and had it installed the same day), and asked for a refund for what I had paid over and above the $120 service call fee. They said OK, but there is a 30% restocking fee. I said - how can you charge a restocking fee when there is no part to restock. After going back and forth, they relented and refunded everything I asked for. Moral of the story - do not place a service order until they confirm in writing that the parts are available, and do not agree to the restocking fee (which they admitted was really a cancellation fee).

As we let you know, at RepairCare, we strive to be fair professional and ethical at all times. As such, full disclosure is provided prior to the service call and any part orders. Our booking confirmation email, which is sent immediately, automatically, right after the appointment is booked states that by accepting service you acknowledge that there is a restocking fee for all part order cancellations. We have confirmation that the email was opened on Oct 2nd. Service took place on Oct 3rd. Disclosure was also given on the payment receipt, which was sent immediately, automatically, after the payment was received on Oct 3rd. The part order cancellation request was made Oct 16th. 2 weeks later. We also let you know that the supplier charges us what they call a "restocking fee" when we cancel a part order, regardless if the part is shipped or not. We pass those costs on to the client, standard industry practice. Unfortunately, due to COVID, manufacturers and suppliers are not working at full capacity and parts are delayed. We have no control of when the parts are available to us or the information they provide. At RepairCare, we go above and beyond when we can. As a goodwill gesture, RepairCare waived the "restocking fee" and absorbed the costs incurred for cancelling your part order. We also let you know that because of you, we implemented the changes necessary to be clearer on the restocking fee and thanked you for helping us get better at what we do. We are sorry that you feel our efforts and goodwill merits a 2/10 rating and that we could not manage your expectations. Again, thank you for helping us get better at what we do, Tim. Stay safe!

KitchenAid refrigerator temperature repair

The fridge alarm was sounding, advising something was wrong with the temperature. The bottom freezer was quickly increasing in temperature (14 to 40 degrees within an hour) and everything within the compartment needed to be transferred out. After thawing I closed the freezer drawer and temperature began to decline down to 0. However the light would not come on. Repair Care tech determined that the start of thaw was from improper closure earlier and that the melt would not allow the door to close properly until a complete thaw was done. The electronics for the light socket was damaged and the unit needed to be repaired. All was working within about 1 hour. The Tech also gave me some valuable tips about operation of my KitchenAid dishwasher which has improved the cleaning.

Sub Zero freezer

Excellent service from beginning to end. From the service rep on phone booking initial appointment to the tech who serviced and diagnosed issue. Options were Cleary explained. And follow up emails. Will definetly use them again

Fridge Repair

My Fridge was hot and not working. I called a few places and Repair Care was the only company that could send someone over on the same day. Their service fee was reasonable between everyone I called. Technician repaired the fridge after replacing a hardware. Every one I dealt with were professional and they went above and beyond what I expected. They also saved me money by repairing my fridge's gasket without purchasing a new one. I am very happy with their service and recommend them to everyone. They are honest people with quality work.

Repair of Dishwasher

Its pricey for the dishwasher repair. They fixed it since child lock was on. The service took not so long.

At RepairCare, we strive to be fair, professional and ethical at all times. As such, before a booking is completed our agents are required to give full pricing disclosure upfront. So there are no surprises. Our records and recordings shows that at the time of booking we let you know that we charge for the fix not the time. For us it does not matter how long the repair takes. Whether it takes 5 mins or 5 hours. If return visits are needed, we return at no charge till the machine is fixed and you agreed. We are sorry to hear, now, that after the repair was completed, you find the repair pricy. Most of our clients, take comfort in our flat fee. As there are no surprises and they can be confident that no matter how long the repair takes they will not be charged more. Thank you for letting us know that the service did not take long. We understand how difficult it is to run a home with a broken appliance and want to be part of the solution not add to the problem. Very reliable and professional

This is the second time I’ve used Repair Care. I found them very prompt in responding and very professional. They came within the day, came when they said they would and were very friendly and professional. He explained the problem and was very tidy cleaning up. The rates were up front and reasonable. I would defiantly use them again and would recommend them!
