I have very old shower taps which I was told the inserts could not be found anymore. I was referred to Roy at Protex plumbing Roy was aware of my very limited budget and went beyond customer service locating these old parts for me and having them installed at a very reasonable cost. I am so happy with the results and service. Thank you Roy I will recommend you to everyone......Pam

Called Roy in to deal with a burst pipe and also took him through some work we wanted done in our recently purchased home. He showed interest and provided good ideas. Following our discussion, we hired Protex to do all of the work. They came in the next day and finished the job on time and on budget.

Frozen Heating Line Burst, No Heat Call

Pipe burst behind wall water was flooding down wall to floor drain. Roy kept me in the loop the whole way and helped me out by temporarily insulating the problem area. Im very pleased with his work I have him saved in my contacts for future jobs

Dave was quick to identify the problem and then fixed the faucet efficiently. He was capable and friendly. It was, however, costly, for a fifteen minute job; the hourly rate was high. I suppose you get what you pay for.

Company Response: Thank you for your response, we love hearing our customers feed back. I couldn't agree with you more about $140 for 15 mins worth of work is costly. Your first 125.00 actually covers you for an hour, plus travel time, for a licensed plumber to possibly be stuck in traffic or bad weather, or congesstion no matter where he's coming from, your covered. Also bringing our mobile shop on wheels to your residents is costly, we carry more stock on board then your average service company to save our customers time and money by not going to get material on your time. We also pay our plumbers a minimum of an hour and a half for each service call. Plus the overhead of administrative staff, wsib coverage, insurance, and warranty coverage on your job. Not even mentioning overtime. Then the gov't of course on top of all these costs. A lot of people not in the mobile service world would understand where that $125 plus material may go. Was referred to protex by a friend. I really appreciated the fact they listened to what I wanted to do but also offered their advice regarding what to expect for the finished product. They provided photos of other jobs they completed and were very Professional. Highly recommend.
