Phiaba Fridge - service

I had a good conversation with Fix Appliance Management who explained to me the service and quote that were provided. I decided to take a different path to get my appliance fixed but I appreciated very much the follow call with Fix Appliances and how they take feedback serioulsy as an opportunity to improve the quality of services they provided.

Phiaba Fridge - over $2600 quote for a $84 issue

I am very disappointed with Fix Appliances. On Feb. 16, I called for a service on a Phiaba Fridge. First, I tried to call but I believe you were busy and not answered it. At the same time, I was chatting with some on your website, who said you do not provide services for Phiaba appliances. Then someone from Fix Appliances called me and said you actually do provide services for Phiaba. So, I booked a technician for the same day. When he arrived, I explained that the Freezer was not cooling. I could tell he had no experience with this brand as he was not even aware how to unlock the panel and he had not made any tests or even remove the freezer door (which is a panel) to check further. After 15 minutes he said the issue was with the compressor. I paid $107 dollars for that and 30 minutes later he sent an email with a $2617,00 quote to change the compressor. Because of the hefty price I contacted Phiaba and they gave me the Authorized service contact (which Fix Appliances do not even show on their directory of service providers). I called this provider and they came to this Saturday, ran many tests, opened the bottom, made more tests and found the issue. It was simply a busted relay that cost me $84 dollars. On Top of that they advised that Phiaba offers 12-years warranty for parts like compressor, so even if it was the compressor I would not even need to pay for the part (which your technician said it was over $1,500 alone). So, when I researched about Fix Appliances this is what I found on your website the following statement: "We recognize how inconvenient it is when an appliance breaks down, so well always keep you up to date with the progress of your repairs. We offer affordable household appliance repair prices for parts, labour and callouts. You can trust that our quoted prices are accurate and all-inclusive. Youll be provided with all the information you need to make an informed decision about the work required". So, let me be VERY HONEST. What you have on your website is not aligned at all with the services you provide. Please BE HONEST with your customers, if you do not know the problem, let them know. BUT dont try to charge over $2,617 dollars for a $84 issue. I paid for your service because I trusted on what you say and how you position yourself on your website and for the Toronto customers. Now, I am asking myself now how many other clients of yours paid for unnecessary part and services. I hope you will take this review seriously and take it as an opportunity for improvement.
