Euro Choice Windows & Doors

Euro Choice Windows and Doors that use to be called Aloplast Duke Windows and Doors ate my $600 deposit for the windows I wanted that they never installed. Their estimate was free and they agreed to Brick-to-Brick and used my internet to contact their boss for pictures of the window. They faked a BBB logo. They never mentioned the 10 day cancellation policy in the contract. They wrote up my estimate for Brick-to-Brick windows and sent the installer for measurements after the 10 days. Then all of a sudden the boss Dube visits and rudely tells me they had the contract for retrofit and show me a fake version of the contract with extra added red writing of retrofit. My contract doesn't mention retrofit. I agreed to full two windows with 4mm vinyl upvc, color white inside, 5p8 outside, and aluminum capping in the contract. They want to do half the windows, no color selection, no aluminum capping and that too for more money. I tell them that I didn't agree to this and to give me my deposit back. They say they will and ignore my calls for multiple days. Upon reading Homestars.com I notice other customers also had a bad experience. Despite this, I try to amicably resolve my complaint in BBB and send a cancellation notice. BBB only decides to alert people that they are claiming to be BBB Accredited when they are not and say they can't force them to do anything. My contract clearly mentioned unless otherwise noted it is Brick-to-Brick install. Also 4mm vinyl upvc, color white inside, 5p8 outside and aluminum capping was clearly mentioned. They could have straightened this matter out nicely and easily. They could have been honest and upfront that the rep. did a mistake of agreeing to what he couldn't in the agreement and given my deposit back. But they wanted to ignore and make an issue out of it. I would like consumers to beware and be sure everything is verified in their contracts before agreeing to a contract by Euro Choice Windows and Doors. Also remember the 10 day cancel if anything seems wrong. Also it is better if possible to try a different more professional company that is honest with their commitments.

I am very pleased with the windows ,workmanship and the cleanup that was done on day of installation.
I was told everything would be done properly and they did a great job in delivering.

Dube was very professional and informative and the price beat the competition. The installers were great and installed my patio door in some inclement weather. Will have the rest of the windows replaced with them in the spring.

Cheaper than others, but beware. Had to chase to get installer to come measure. Broke satellite dish while installing, denied it, put dish back to look like nothing happened. Windows themselves are good but framing sloppy, poorly done - lots of gaps, sides overlapping - used lots of caulking, sanding to make it look good. Old blinds didn't fit back in, now have to buy new blinds - never told this was possibility (salesperson saw all the blinds as did installer when measuring) & never been a problem with previous brick-to-brick installs by other company on main floor.

Stay away from this company. Door instal did not include requested frame colour, threshold colour, lock installed incorrectly. Door had trim peeling away within one day after installation. They demanded certified cheque for the balance owing prior to rectifying problems. Consumer Affairs Ontario confirmed asking for payment prior to services being completed is not legal. F Rating with BBB. Warning on BBB website about this company. Although they made mistakes on the order, they refused to work on a Saturday to do the corrections, although they do provide services on a Saturday. Rude, arrogant, and not to be trusted.

Liked the German designed product and installation materials plus Euro Choice has and only uses their own installation crew. The guys were professional and did a great job installing the windows. No scrimping on the caulking and a first rate job on the flashing. Plus they cleaned up their mess - I fully expected to have to do this but they did a great job.
The triple glazed windows with two thicknesses of glass work perfectly and block out the noise of the neighborhood virtually completely. Wish I'd done this years ago.
Using my FLIR IR camera I see at most a 10Fdeg drop in temp across the entire window assembly compared to over 30Fdeg drop for the original 30 year old windows. I fully expect to see a measureable drop in natural gas consumption for heating this winter.

Very satisfied with the professionalism of the installation of my new windows and doors. Definitely have them back for further installations. Would highly recommend this company. Great job Dube and team!

The Installation though is horrible do not have this company install your windows, they make a great product but the installation was horrible i now have even more draft than before and not from the window itself like before from the frame. Not impressed at all with the install. I would recommend buying your windows from them but do not have them install the window.

Right from meeting Mike and Boris my husband and I knew this was the company for us. We were impressed with the technical explanation regarding the quality of the windows and doors. The crew worked efficiently and were very respectful of our home! We are thrilled with the new look of our cottage. Thank you guys!!
