After the Mother was humanely trapped, we could hear a baby raccoon crying, stuck behind a wall in one of our bedrooms. Louis has the proper equipment (thermal imaging camera/scanner) to locate the baby's exact location. He then very neatly removed a few inches of baseboard, cut a small piece of drywall out (easy to repair afterward) and gently removed the baby raccoon.

When we asked Louis on how we can avoid this from happening in the future, he offered a full house/roof inspection to ascertain any areas of concern and gave us a very reasonable estimate to conduct some 'preventive' maintenance work. This was completely neatly and efficiently on that same visit. (And all this on the Monday of the Victoria Day long weekend.)

Service was done when promised, very reliable. Raccoon was removed from under deck and the new concrete barrier was installed to prevent future re-entry. Also had a one-way trap door installed at the shed to trap whatever was living there. All work was done as originally quoted. I wouldn't hesitate to use the service again in the future as they were friendly to work with.

Squirrels intruded into our attic in Feb. 2016. Our friend highly recommended this company to us as she used the service before. The owner Louis came quickly to fix our issue. However, the squirrels came back again recently (May 2016). Louis came and fixed the issue again promptly. The smart squirrels created a path from close to the area Louis patched last time so the fix this time was covered by the warranty. Two sparrows flew inside our front door while I was letting the dog out. After an hour of trying to coax them back outside I realized this was not something I could do on my own. I called Louis, he came right away (within about 15 minutes). He was so helpful, he managed to get the two frightened birds down from the windowsill within a high ceiling area without harming them whatsoever. They flew outside one after the other! We had a mother and family of baby raccoons move in underneath our outdoor hot tub enclosure. We couldn't reach them at all because they had set up house at the far end of the structure away from any openings. We obtained two other quotes on the job and one of them was DOUBLE A-1 Checkmate Wildlife Removal and Prevention's quote. In fact, that company told us they would have to break and remove wood from the other side of the hot tub Gazebo to remove the raccoons. This was something we really didn't want to do because it would have ruined the look of the cedar structure. Louie of A-1 Checkmate Wildlife Removal and Prevention assured us that he wouldn't have to destroy any part of the gazebo and used a strong smelling deterrent and two-way door to remove the raccoons.(Actually they moved out themselves) Then he dug a trench, installed some screening and replaced the wood along the bottom of the gazebo. We were extremely pleased with the end result and quite frankly the hot tub enclosure hasn't looked this good in years. We were extremely impressed with Louie's knowledge, expertise and woodwork. He was prompt, the work area was clean and he finished the job when he said he would.
