Indoor Air Quality Ottawa

We bought and moved in to a home in fall 2016, and smelled strong odors. We contacted the company, and Shawn came in the next day. Luckily, he inspected the home before and knew the history. He gave us very practical advice and did not charge us at all. We were very satisfied with his service and professionalism.

We had Shawn come out to our house to help determine where some musty smells were coning from and how to resolve them. We live in an older home that's had many small additions over the years. We had taken several steps to resolve the moisture issues in our home but were still getting the smells and it was really bothering us and impacting our lives, I didn't want to have anyone over to our house as I was embarrassed! Shawn was extremely knowledgeable, interesting to listen to, very personable, and I felt immediate relief having him here to diagnose our problem. He offered different solutions and advised us on what steps to take to resolve the problem and keep it from coming back. I only wish we had consulted him sooner! Do not hesitate to retain his services, well worth every cent!

We had some concerns about the air quality in our home. Shawn from IAQ came out to our place last yr and did an inspection of our home. He was very thorough and reassuring and gave us some tips to use. A yr later we had him back out to our place and he quickly recalled some of the issues we had and the steps we took to rectify. We had IAQ in to offer advice on basement odours, perform air quality testing, and consult on next steps. A year and a half later, we had Shawn back to get his advice on further work. We appreciated his ability to convey complex concepts in home construction and waterflow simply. The testing revealed that the air quality was not significantly impacted in the areas where we spent time, so that was relevant to me as I have respiratory conditions and allergies. He offered practical advice on how we could do much of the work on our own (we are NOT pros!), and also was a calming presence, and a corrective to our own reactions to continuing issues. When we had done much of this work and had him back, we really appreciated how he took the time to note this work, and move on from there with some additional pointers and longer term advice. I would strongly recommend IAQ for anyone in a new build or older home where water, odour, mustiness, or a faint funky smell is an issue!

His report was non-alarmist and concise, and it helped identify a reasonable course of action to take.

Shawn came to our home to perform an IAQ assessment. He was very knowledgeable and thorough. He assessed each room on the main floor as well as the basement. He also took the time to look in our attic as well and did a walk about around the exterior of the home. Shawn came to house and diagnosed moisture, found mold, and testing revealed millions of spores of grossness (I forget the technical names). I have allergy issues so was very happy to learn that situation could be fixed. Significant remediation work started right away, it was taken very seriously. Our air quality is drastically improved.
