We hired IAQ Ottawa to help us investigate why we had puddles of water all around our basement. We had hired them before to help us at another home so we knew they would be fantastic. Shawn is a leading expert in indoor air quality and he takes the time to explain his process, the results, and what it all means. He is absolutely great. We highly recommend IAQ.

He carries out a thorough inspection to identify the source of your problems, then explains a variety of potential solutions. He is also very organized; he is punctual and has all his equipment ready, so everything can get done within a specific time frame. Prompt, courteous and helpful. From the get-go, Shawn was interested in knowing the purpose of the visit in order to identify the root cause. He offered actionable tips to address air quality and moisture issues, and didn't recommend or upsell any additional services (e.g. in fact, clarified that there actually wasn't a need to get the asbestos and mould sampling I thought was required!). I would certainly turn to Indoor Air Quality Ottawa again if or when needed.

We are very happy to now know what things are affecting our allergies and asthma in our home as well as knowing the ways we can reduce the issues. We were also shown how to better heat (and cool) our home more evenly and found out that our furnace was on its last legs.

We brought Shawn in to inspect our 2 buildings for possible asbestos. He was very knowledgeable and prepared an easy to understand report that we were able to use for our required purposes.
