I contacted Shawn at Indoor Air Quality after a contractor highlighted to me that I have asbestos surrounding the heating ducts in my home. The contractor suggested the removal of the asbestos and asked for tens of thousands of dollars to do so. I wanted to ensure that my family was not at risk and wanted an impartial opinion. Shawn was able to inspect my home and provide me with information on Provincial and civic guidelines on how to address our issue. Within a couple of hours I was able to validate that I had a relatively minor containment job on my hands and that there was no imminent risk to my family. In fact the removal of the asbestos product would have been a much riskier means of dealing with what is essentially a non-issue. All in all this saved me a lot of stress and a lot of money.
