Avenue Road Masonry

Avenue Road Masonry rebuilt our chimney this summer. They came out to our house and provided a very good quote - other companies we spoke with either provided a quote based on Google Street images or not at all. The competing quotes we received were significantly higher than Avenue Road's (which made me think they didn't really want the job).

The job itself was impeccable and done in a day. Avenue Road cleaned up before they left. I highly recommend them for chimney work.

I had Chris come and give me a quote to shorten my chimney and cap it off, fix my garage pillar and repair some of the cracks of the outside walls of the house. His price was reasonable. His men came, did the work and cleaned up after themselves. There was a small area missed and they promptly return to fix it. I am very happy with the work done and would hightly recommend Avenue Road Masonry to anyone.

I contacted 7 well reviewed companies on Homestars over the last 3 years to do this project for me, with varying degrees of responsiveness and interest from these companies. It took this long because no one wanted to come out, or offer a fair price for the work. After almost giving up hope, I reached out to Chris P from Avenue Road Masonry. He returned my call the same day and arranged to come out to meet me a couple of days later. I found him to be very knowledgeable, honest, open, and fair with his pricing.

For the project itself, I dealt with Robert, Chris and Max. They worked diligently and took great care in doing a fantastic job. I had my roof reshingled and some masonry work done last year including rebuilding a chimney. I recently had a loose chimney cap from a recent storm. I called Ave Rd Masonry and they repaired it immediately at no cost even though this was not the chimney they had repaired. Thank you so much!

Within a few days of thoroughly assessing a large crack in the garage's concrete floor, Chris and his coworkers arrived promptly to address the repair work. Within hours, the team's expertise, professionalism and genuine care for the client's satisfaction was evident. The concrete floor was repaired, seamlessly!
I am so pleased and appreciative of Chris's courteous manner, his patience in addressing all my questions via text, email and phone. He also took the time to take photos for each phase of the project (cutting of concrete, gravel, meshing and pouring of the concrete); Chris sent the photos to me via text in real time. We've used Avenue Road Masonry before and knew that they did great work, so we called again when we needed our front steps and an interlocking stone replaced. Chris is very thorough in his assessment and describing what services his company will provide. He takes a lot of pride in his work and even offered to touch up an area he had worked on previously at our house, even though it was no longer under warranty. He just wants to get things right! The ceiling on our bay window was leaking. Ave Rd Roofing came to inspect and found that the water was getting in through the cracks in the stone work so they arranged for their Masonry team to come. A detailed quote for the work was provided and schedule confirmed. The Masonry team arrived on time, worked very efficiently and inspected/repaired other cracks that could potentially cause problems in the future. Our house was built in 1922 with all the original stone work in place. All work was thoroughly explained to me. Everything was cleaned up afterwards. I can highly recommend this company.

I had a leak into my house from one of my chimneys which had been tuckpointed several years ago. Quote was given in two days and, as the job was quoted to take 2-4 weeks, they kindly came and tarped up the chimney to stop further water leakage. The quote for the first chimney was very reasonable so I decided to proceed with the second, as both chimneys are 60 years old. Chris, Chris, Robert and Bobby were all so professional, pleasant and cleaned up after themselves. Job was completed on time and I would not hesitate to call them again for masonry or roofing. Well done!
