Spring 2014 Joel came to Install laminate & tile flooring in our basement. He also tiled a shower stall threshold & installed the shower doors and bathroom vanity. He was punctual in getting the job done and at a cost of about $1,500 (plus materials) that we felt was reasonable.
In less than 1 year the laminate flooring started to buckle near 1 wall. In 14 months after the install, we noticed a leak in the shower stall threshold and some grout is falling away. We had someone else here for a different project and he said there likely was no waterproof membrane added to the threshold under the tiles and that it would need to be re-done.
Regardless of the reason, we have contacted Joel to come out and take a look. Three times he said he would come and take a look and all 3 times he didn't show up and he didn't call to say he wouldn't be coming. I have to keep chasing after him. And now he has stopped responding to my text messages.
So buyer beware! If he screws up ypur job, don't expect to see him again!
