Work was completed within timeframes quoted. He saved the day and did work that we didn't have time for anymore. I am very confident in recommending.

I’ve had Alan Shade from Nepean General Contractors do several jobs around my house. These jobs included attic insulation/repair and basement renovations/finishing. Alan was very courteous, clean, completed jobs in a timely manner and provided many design ideas for different areas of the basement. Alan also provided many good subcontractors that were able to accommodate the projects timeline. I’d have no problem recommending Alan for your next renovation or repair.

I built a trapezoidal shaped, ground level deck, that required some special consideration for drainage solutions. I had a poor design resulting in an ugly zip line for the board joints and unstable boards.
Alan cut out half the decking and added a stabilizing brace. He also added a decorative edge feature to improve the overall look of the deck. Work was completed in 2 days, very clean and efficient job.

I hired Alan to build a new cedar deck for us. We wanted something solid and attractive but we weren't really sure exactly what we wanted. Alan listened to my ideas and turned those that rough ideas into a plan and now a finished product I am really impressed with. The deck piles are galvanized steel and will never rot or shift. We added privacy walls and an awning in the end and it functions as good as it looks. He convinced me to go with the hidden fasteners and I am so glad he did, There are no screw holes anywhere for a very clean and neat look. In summary... solid, on time, within budget, great looking, durable and no surprises. Now it's time for a BBQ!! Thanks Alan. Would recommend Alan and will use his services again and again.

I hired Alan to install crown molding in the bedroom of my 19th century home. The project was challenging as the room had two sloped ceiling commencing approximately 4feet up from the floor. Alan listened to what my vision was for the room and offered suggestions and solutions to challenges that no other Contractor had been able to offer. The end result looks fantastic and I would definitely hire Alan and his team again.

I hired alan to build a multi level deck for me. I wanted something extravagant and multi tiered, but didn't know how to put a vision together. alan made some suggestions and eventually it all took shape on paper. he suggested using some sort of hydraulic screw post to support the deck (an upgrade) but well worth it. in the end it was exactly what I wanted and then some. there were small details that I hadn't thought of at all that really impressed me. also he didn't use nails for the deck boards like some guys I had spoken to said they would do. he stayed on track and didn't surprise me with any extras. I will be recommending him to my friends and family for sure.
