Dishwasher

Sad how this company stays in business. Look at their rating and customer satisfaction around the internet. I wish I read the reviews before I called them. ABSOLUTE RACKET !! STAY AWAY!! Was charged $316.40 for 5 minutes of work. Initially I refused to pay this amount and wanted to come to some reasonable conclusion. Guy opened up my dishwasher panel again and CUT OUT ALL WIRES!!! I proceeded to call the cops. Guy ran away through my garage door red and blue in the face. In 3 words: UNBELIEVABLE! NEVER AGAIN!

Dryer Repair

Just prepare to pay $280 or $320 for them to charge you as min charge and it's not $80. Parts will be out of world over priced because you can actually call to find out the cost of the parts and it will be much cheaper than their quote. Overall very dishonest and misleading business conduct. They know how to pay google to rank #1 and you can't even write bad reviews on their site.

STOVE REPARI

Before I made the appointment over the phone, I asked over and over again how much they charge. The lady only mentioned the $80.00 visit
and they when they figure out the problem they will give me the total estimate. Never mentioned that their minimum charge to check the oven is $280.00. As soon as the repairman came in he said I had to pay $280.00 just to open the stove to see what is wrong and the cost of the
parts on top.
They are very DISHONEST. Before I booked I gave her the model # and told her what was wrong and never mentioned the $280.00.
had they mentioned the $280.00 MINIMUM charge for over repair I would have NEVER booked the appointment. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE DISHONEST.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE DISHONEST.

Stove top repair

I paid $280 for the repairman to open my stovetop and find out what was wrong. I was told that that would pay for the repair but additional parts might be more. Once he determined that I needed a new switch I was told he would get back to me in an hour on the price. Then he told me there would be cost to install the new part as well. Never heard from them again. After 3 days I called and was told they were having trouble finding the part but they would expedite the process and get back to me ASAP. Now three weeks later, I am out $280, my stovetop still isn't working and I have heard NOTHING from this company. I would NEVER use them again.

Complaint Description:
Charged me $361.60 to look at ice maker issue on my fridge. Nothing was repaired. Instead told me that I needed an Ice Maker Assembly Part for another $480.76 + HST. After the repair man left, I called the manufacturer who quoted me $130 for the part. This organization is taking its customers for a ride. They need to be shut down.

Your Desired Resolution:
Full refund of $361.60

LG Fridge

2/13/18 Icemaker complaint from Markham. Thank you for the idea, I have now contacted BBB to file a complaint.
CLIENT BEWARE!!! I called Appliance Repairman (aka Appliance Repair Man, aka Appliance Repair Guys) for a grinding noise my fridge was making. They came out on January 17th, determined that there was ice build up in the freezer section and said that vacuuming it up would solve the noise problem. They didn't go further to investigate why the ice was building up. The charge for this- tax included was $361.60.
Within the hour after the repairman left, the noise came back and this time much louder. Note at this point the fridge was still cooling and the freezer portion was still freezing.
They came back a 2nd time Jan. 25th, no charge for the 2nd call and the repairman took the whole fridge apart. At the very end he went back to the freezer portion and said that it was a faulty “evaporator fan” and quoted a price of $353.50 for parts with a /$176.75 Labour + tax $68.93 = 599.18.
NOTE: as at 5 p.m. on the 25th, the fridge and freezer were still functioning, after 2 hours repair at 7 p.m. my freezer is now not freezing!
If I accepted this quote the total for the repairs, including the initial cost, would be $960.78!
I would under no circumstances have this company back out for anything. Never again!

DISHWASHER MALFUNCTION

Similar experience as everyone else!

On the phone, they only tell you that the service call for a diagnostic is $80+tax which would be reimbursed if we decide to fix the issue with them, also, she said to me, once I booked that appointment, the $80 were due upon arrival no matter the outcome once they landed in my house. While i was away at work, the repairmen came and once inside my house (already $80 due), told my husband, who unfortunately didn't know what to expect or what they had told me earlier, that in order to give a diagnosis, he will need to 'service' the appliance for a fee of $280+tax, there was no other way!
We ended paying $316.40 (he didn't charge $80,... that was the whole idea to get them on the door) and a quote of $635.92 to fix the appliance for the next day totalling almost $1,000.00. For a +12 year old appl. and discontinued model, we just bought a new dishwasher! and lost $316.40.

Bottom line, make sure to do a good and exhaustive/reliable research when in need of any services!

Do Not Use This Company

I should have read the reviews. . .and I sure paid the price for not doing so. The come on is an $80 refundable service all. The repairman spent 15 minutes with a washer that had overflowed, claimed it was a slightly corroded pressure valve and he replaced the clamps. The grossly inflated price was $361.60. I used the washer and the spin cycle didn't work. So I called Maytag direct and they sent a repairman. The verdict:
the 10 year old washer drum is no longer balanced, the injector [of water] had loosened. It may live another year before I have to do anything. Maytag cost: 133.34.

The real warning here is that this company goes under several names: The Appliance Repair Guys. Appliance Repairman and on the payment receipt Appliance Repair Man.

They did NOTHING and charged me for it

I was in a rush to get my washer fixed for our new tenant, and that was my BIG mistake. I called these guys and they came right away. The guy (Kevan) seemed friendly and said that there was an $80 fee (which I knew about) which would be waived if they needed to "open up the machine". Fine. Cool. But then he barely TOUCHED the machine, and told me it would be $360. Silly over-trusting me, I just wanted my washer fixed so I agreed.
This is how the invoice reads:
Watering system - $115
Mainboard/Timer - $110
Electrical circuits - $95
but he barely TOUCHED the machine, didn't open anything that I could see (he just pulled it out and looked at the valves). I didn't see him touch this tools and then poof "I am finished here"

The problem with my machine was that when we select "Cold" we get hot water. This is an intermittent issue that comes and goes, so I guess he got lucky that the cold water worked that day. 4 loads of laundry later, the issue is back.

They said they would come back (for free) if the machine stops working in 30 days. It's been just over a week and it stopped working.

I sent 2 emails and called. The lady said she would call me back... I feel like I've been duped and I really think this company should have to paid penalties to all the poor mistrusting people like me out there.

Washing machine

Terrible service company from my experience. We were told the fee to come out would be $80. Once the problem was figured out, that $80 would come off the quote for the actual repair should we agree to fix it. Guy came out and ran some diagnostics and told us it was a sensor and he could fix it now if we agree to the labour and part cost. We agreed to the $230 we were quoted. He did some work and the problem still was there. Then he says I’ll need $120 for the part and another $250 in labour. we told the guy to leave. I ordered the part myself and installed it. The problem was still there. Had I agreed I would have been in for $800 total and still have a broken washer!!!!
We bought a new washer the next day for $750.

Stay away from this company!!!!!!
