We knew Pioneer Plumbing from our kitchen renovation 5years ago and we kept their number as we impressed their performance from it.

Our kitchen sink stubbornly clogged 2 weeks ago and needed to call professional help after we experimented few unclogging tricks.

We live in Langley and it will be a small job, so we thought we could just give a quick call to a plumber in our neighborhood and not bother calling Pioneer from Vancouver, but we knew who to trust.

Fortunately, they offer services during this COVID time. A technician wearing a heavy-duty mask came on the next day (we asked them to come on weekdays:) ) quickly replaced a pipe for easy access for auger and unclogged drain and cleaned up the area. Everything was done in a professional manner as expected!

We highly recommend them and definitely call them again for any plumbing problems! Thank you!

I asked for a quote for a heat exchanger from Pioneer. The salesperson was knowledgable and the price was reasonable. I had to have some duct work done beforehand by the company. The job was done very poorly and I had to correct some sloppy work, as well as clean up afterwards.
On top of that, the worker ruined my freezer lid, the company did replace the freezer, but with a smaller, less expensive model.

Pioneer Plumbing showed up promptly and in a friendly manner. The job was done efficiently and professionally. I was also pleased with their care and clean up giving me peace of mind. I would highly recommend them.

During a major rainstorm, our drains backed up and the basement flooded. I called several plumbers but all refused to come out without paying a $1000 premium to drop their current jobs.

Finally, I called Pioneer on the recommendation of a contractor friend and they dropped everything to come out right away. They were able to snake the drain, pump the water out and subsequently repair the problem area so it wont happen again.

I mainly dealt with Justin and he was the best. He was friendly, knowledgeable and always just a phone call away.

I can't thank them enough for preventing a mini disaster from turning into a major disaster. And, unlike the other well-known drainage and plumbing companies I called, they didn't try to profit off my situation. I give Pioneer my highest recommendation.

UPDATE: Since the above review was posted, I've used Pioneer as my go-to plumbing and gas service on numerous occasions. The service has always been good; however, they provided an HVAC consultation and the service was less than satisfactory.

First of all, the consultant advised I couldn't install a high efficiency air conditioner without replacing my mid efficiency furnace. He said the furnace doesn't blow enough air to supply the A/C unit so it could freeze and damage the A/C coil. I contacted both the manufacturer of the furnace and the manufacturer of the air conditioner -- both stated unequivocally that this was false. Secondly, the consultant seemed bothered by having to answer several questions, but we're talking about a $30,000 job so I'm not about to hire someone without knowing all the details. I eventually received 6 quotes and one other consultant was the same way. The other 4 were more than happy to answer all questions.

I was told it would take a week to get the quote but I hadn't received it after 2 weeks so I followed up. The office apologized and said they'd refer it to the HVAC department but still the quote never came. I was very disappointed, especially given I was a loyal repeat customer of several years. I was informed Justin has left the company, so perhaps that has something to do with it. In any event, I can no longer recommend Pioneer and although I was able to find a good HVAC contractor, I now need to find a new plumber as well.

Sent a young kid that tried his best but did not fix the furnace, promised to send someone more experienced the following day that didn’t show up! Then apologized profusely the next day, promised another guy would show up, and incredibly nobody showed again!! Just an unbelievable experience overall, our furnace is still not working

I chose Pioneer Plumbing based on their reviews and they did NOT disappoint! Our tub faucet came loose and no other company could come until the following day. The girl at reception said they were fully booked but was able to squeeze me in! The plumber called to let me know he was running late which was appreciated. He fixed the faucet in under 10 minutes and asked if there was anything else I wanted him to look at since they charge a minimum fee for the first 30 minutes. I would HIGHLY recommend Pioneer Plumbing to anybody who needs plumbing work done. It was a great experience working with them from start to finish.

We recently had Pioneer Plumbing and Heating install a new furnace and air conditioner in our home. The two technicians from Pioneer, Tyron and Jim, were very knowledgeable and professional. They took the time to make sure my new equipment was installed properly and explained everything about how the system operates. I would highly recommend this company for any Heating or cooling issues.
