Mr. Interlock Landscape & Construction

I got 4 quotes for the job and while Mr Interlock weren't the cheapest I felt they really took the time to get it right the first time. Results were fantastic. Amir was great at answering all my questions and ensuring transparency throughout the process. Chris. Saudi and Zack were a great team. They were professional, patient and meticulous. Lastly they were clearly having fun and had a great dynamic working with each other. The project followed a process and they did not rush it which ended up with an exceptional final product. I appreciated Amir's understanding of the best paving products out there and Chris's recommendations on the custom areas of work to ensure structural integrity. Look forward to enjoying the work for many years. It has transformed the gent of the house.

We started off with a backyard that drained water toward our house. Our brick was eroding and the ground was so bad that you couldn't walk without tripping on the hidden holes and tree roots.

Quote - Done by Amir. First off, it's hard to get landscaping companies to even call you back if you haven't noticed. Amir called us within a day of our request for a quote, and he provided an on site inspection and written quote within that same week. He was professional, knowledgeable, low pressure. He acknowledges that he's not the cheapest (and Mr. Interlock is not), but he will also explain the difference in their approach to installing pavers, that should help you decide on them to do your project.

Their process - They excavated about 10 inches on average where they were going to lay the pad. They then compacted layer after layer of base material, until our base sloped away from our house for the entire length of the patio. They then used a high performance base material to lay the pavers level. The work was flawless. They made sure it was attractive, sturdy and level. Clean lines are obvious across every row of paver. This process is important to be aware of. The lower bidders for this job offered similar finished products, but they were going to use leveling sand and only excavate three inches. That patio would have looked terrible after two or three seasons of freeze and thaw. This one isn't moving an inch. That's the value in Mr. Interlock. It's built to last.

The Detail Work - I have two custom sized window wells (they're huge) and various below grade pipes and vents that all had water issues. Not only did Mr. Interlock change the grade to keep water away from my house, but they built beautiful retaining walls around my window wells, a custom stone box around my vent and cut the stones precisely around all the pipes coming from below ground (natural gas, hydro, telephone, cable, etc...) which left the messy parts of my house looking clean and organized. It looks as though the house was built for the patio, not the other way around.

The Crew - Chris (part owner I believe) and Saad. These two men worked hard... really hard. They showed up and started working the day they were scheduled to. Both are very nice people, taking time to say hello to my toddler, answer questions I had and advise on any changes to suit my vision on this project. They worked about twelve hours a day and didn't waste any time when they were here. Each employee is an expert in their craft. The cuts were always perfect. The stones fit together like a perfect jigsaw puzzle. True professionals.

The finished product - SO BEAUTIFUL! Our friends, family and neighbours are all shocked by the transformation. It's freshened up the entire exterior of our house and also fixed our water drainage issues permanently. You can't ask for more. We got exactly what we paid for, at a fair price, with excellent customer service. I actually just got a follow up call from Amir asking how everything with the patio is, three weeks after they left. They actually care if you're happy with their work even after they've been paid! Amazing!!! I feel compelled to tell anyone shopping around to seriously consider this company.

Fast, efficient, and professional workmanship, with nothing to worry about this hard working team. And it does give my house a new facelift, and the new look truly make me and the family feel proud. Strongly recommend this reputable team.

Amir from Mr Interlock was one of 5 or 6 contractors that I met to rebuild my backyard patio's existing retaining wall. His quote was competitive with the other contractors, but it was his enthusiasm, knowledge and good ratings on HomeStars that tipped my hand. Also, he was more than happy to provide references of current and previous jobs.

Mr. Interlock, and specifically Amir and his team led by Chris did an absolutely terrific job on redoing the front entrance to our house. They demolished flower beds and a concrete staircase, helped design and interlocked a simple front patio and beautiful driveway extension with retaining wall, and planted several trees all on budget.

The best part of working with Amir was his clear and constant communication at all times, assistance in helping us work out what was going to keep us on budget, and at the end of the day, the quality of his and his team's work.

Redoing the front entrance has given a great facelift to the house, and I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again in the future! Thank you Amir and thank you Chris!

Amir and his team did a great job at installing our back interlock patio. We installed a natural gas fireplace as well and they did all the trenching etc to make that happen. They are very responsive and customer focussed. Strongly recommend.

I was looking to install new steps and interlocks at my front door had contacted a few companies for a consultation. Of all the companies, Amir was the most sincere landscaper I had have talked to.

He would try to understand my needs and cater a solution that won't break an arm and leg and yet delivery what I wanted.

Our front walkway was shifting and we needed it replaced. I called four different companies and Mr. Interlock responded to my email right away (within a day). Amir was very friendly on the phone and arranged a time to drop by and see the project. He was on time, super pleasant and knowledgeable. He explained the different options available - I had a lot of questions and he answered each and every one. He promised a quote within a couple of days and he delivered. He scheduled the job for 4 days and they were done in 3. Chris and his team were fantastic. Super nice guys, arrived on time each day and cleaned up before leaving each day. We are extremely pleased with the end result and with Mr. Interlock. Highly recommend them for your project.

We were looking to widen our driveway in order to fit two cars side by side - and had resigned ourselves to installing a parking pad/walkway and doing a significant amount of landscaping as well. This would have been very costly.

Mr. Interlock came out to the property, we discussed the situation and they suggested an entirely new idea, that we had not considered, that actually saved us a lot of money.

Beyond that, they were quick, efficient and very professional. We definitely recommend them and I will be using their services again in the future.
