We had our poor old driveway redone in August. Wonderful work done by the crew. They were on time,efficient and hard workers. People passing by,still stop to look at the work done. When my husband & I started to look for companies that can do an interlocking for our backyard, we probably contacted about 10 companies. When I came across Mr. Interlock from homestar, I gave them a call but I was already expecting that it would just be the voicemail or asking me to email them instead but Amir answered the call & gave me rough estimate based on the measurements that I gave him. Amir mentioned that he wants to see the area so he can give a more specific quote. He dropped by the day after I called him, as for someone like me who don't have that much knowledge regarding interlocking, we learned a lot from Amir on the first meeting. he came prepared with sample stone, explained everything.
Like what other reviewers said Mr. Interlock is not the cheapest quote that we've got but definitely the most passionate people in this business. It took us a while to decided which company to go due to some personal stuff but when I messaged Amir after a couple of months since he met us, he immediately responded to the message and set up a meeting for us to be able to pick which stone we wanted. Within a week he gave us a schedule on when the work will be done. On the day of the said schedule, Mr. Interlock's team (4guys) came in early to set up. Before they even came in, Amir's been keeping in touch that the guys are on their way.
The project took a day & half ( first day is only half day due to rain) but they could have probably finished it if the weather was nice. one of the guys (Amir's bro in law, didn't get the chance to get his name) was the one laying the stones, it was nice that he gave suggestions on options we can do once we already have the fence and when to seal the stones. I definitely recommend this company and it doesn't matter how big the project is (our's pretty small, 200sq ft).

Three decades ago my father had UNILOCK bricks installed in the driveway. Over the years, as you might expect, the soil underneath shifted and there were several humps and bumps. Once I inherited the house I decided to have it re-laid, intending to keep the existing bricks.

If you are ever thinking of buying UNILOCKs and are shocked by their high price, well, this is why: not a single brick was cracked or broken, after three decades of cars parked on top and thirty seasons of freeze-thaw. All bricks were able to re-used. After a good power-wash, the bricks could have easily been passed off as brand-new.

Glad I was able to salvage all of them, since purchasing new ones would have rang up the bill to well above $12k.

Very glad I was put in contact with Mr. Interlock. Their name says it all: this is exactly what they specialize in. The project was on time and on budget, site was cleaned up, un-used bricks neatly stacked in the backyard. The driveway looks brand new - hasn't looked this good in 20 years. Probably could have saved a few bucks by going with the lowest bidder, but I figured it wasn't worth it: if this driveway is to last another thirty years, why not hire the best? And so I did.

After lots of research we decided to invest in an interlock driveway at our townhouse. After talking to a few different contractors we decided on having Amir and his team do the work. The quote was not the cheapest nor the highest but at the end of the day we got a terrific result and value for our money. The quote and service agreement were professionally done and the communication thru out the project was excellent . All the specifications we gave to Amir and Chris were followed through to the letter. I would not hesitate to use their services for my patio upgrade when the time comes. All our neighbours could not believe how hardworking and friendly the crew was.

We wanted to do our backyard patio (interlocking stone and new grass) and the side of the driveway to create an extra parking space. We received several quotes and although Mr.Interlock was not the cheapest, we chose them because of the quality material they used. They use stones from Permacon, Navascape and Unilock. They also use HPB with gravel, instead of limestone screening, which was important for us. Amir, the project manager, is friendly and knowledgeable. He followed up with us several times before we signed with them and during the project. We were very indecisive in choosing stone colours and Amir was patient and provided great advice. He even introduced us to a colour of stone that we never would have considered if he didn't show us pictures from another project. Chris and his crew were efficient and friendly. We were very happy with the quality work. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

We chose Mr. Interlock because we were impressed by their work on our neighbor's front entrance. Amir, the project manager, was friendly and quickly understood our vision of the job. He also gave us some important insight as to what worked and what didn't. There was no sales pressure from him. He provided a detailed quote within 2 days. Yes, Mr. Interlock certainly is not the cheapest landscaper in our area. However Amir and the team were able to work within our budget and provided excellent service. For the two weeks it took, Chris and his crew always started their workday promptly (before we woke up). They took their time to properly lay down the foundation of the interlock with three different grades of gravel stones. All the bricks were cut as needed and placed with the highest degree of precision. There was constant communication throughout the work to ensure that every detail of the job was done to our preference. Everything was completed within schedule and on budget. The new garden beds look exactly how we envisioned them. We would gladly recommend Mr. Interlock to all our neighbors. In fact, at least three of our neighbors loved our new landscape so much, they've also signed up with Mr. Interlock.
