Maple Leaf Garage Doors

Steve at Maple Leaf installed a new garage door on my very old garage. It was a bit tricky and he did a great job. He was great to deal with and was very accommodating when I had to change the install date at the last minute. He is reliable and runs his business professionally. He does high quality work and highly I recommend him.

My 18 year old garage door remote was not working properly and it was having a hard time opening and closing my garage door. It was very annoying at times. I gave up and went for my IPad and looked up Homestars.com. I looked up many garage repair companies and came across Maple Leaf Garage Doors and I really liked his reviews. I called on Wednesday and immediately spoke with Steve and asked him a few questions with regards to my remote and garage door opener. Steve immediately advised me to replace the old unit with a new unit and he even told me that Canadian Tire was having a Black Friday event on Thursday and the price of the unit was $199.99 and that it was a great price as even he could not sell this unit for less then $399.99. He gave me an install price of $100 and told me to text him when I had bought the unit. On Thursday I went to Canadian Tire and purchased the unit I then texted Steve and he immediately responded that he could come by later in the day. Steve arrived on time and installed the unit and set up all my codes and remotes. He even set up my homelink in my car. All my remotes work really well. Steve is very honest and professional. He even cleaned up and took the old unit with him. I would definitely refer him to all my friends and family. If you think you want to install the unit yourself don't even bother it's not as easy as you think. I watched Steve when he was putting the unit together and it took him less than 5 minutes. He took another 20 minutes to finish the job and another 10 minutes patiently explaining how the unit works. Thanks Steve for a job well done and your advice as I saved $200 dollars.

I would highly recommend Steve to all my family and friends. Steve arrived within 24 hours of my initial phone call. After describing the problem to him (broken coil), he gave me a price over the phone. When he didn't arrive at the appointed time, he texted to let me know of his delay and gave me a new ETA, which was within 45 minutes. When he arrived, he said the job would take about 30 minutes. It took him 3-4 times as long to get the job done because whoever installed the garage door opener 19 years ago did it in an "unconventional" manner, making it difficult to repair. After nearly two hours of work, the price was the same. He charged me exactly what he quoted over the phone. I was so pleased with his integrity, honesty and professionalism, I insisted on adding 20%, which he refused. He simply asked for a good review on HomeStars, which is why I'm posting this. Steve is polite, conscientious and knowledgeable. He knows his stuff. He didn't even mind my husband being in the garage with him for nearly the whole time! Steve checked the rollers, tracks, cables and recalibrated everything to make sure the entire system was in perfect working condition. He guarantees his work and even put a sticker on the wall above the garage door opener button to make sure we have his contact information in case anything goes wrong. Kudos to this hard-working entrepreneur for a great job. I wish him all the success in the world!

Steve is great at what he does... I'm more than impressed at his attention to detail. I can tell he really cares to get the job done properly (for his own satisfaction). There are very few people that take their work this seriously, but Steve is one of them.

He took more than enough time to fix the problem I had with just putting the cable back on. He calibrated the garage door to make sure it was adjusted according to the springs and door; Also sprayed rust proof and sanded down parts to make the door operate much better than it was before.

I don't usually leave reviews (let alone long ones like this), but Steve deserves it. Will use him again, and recommend to all my friends who need garage door work. Wish him the best of success with his business!

Steve is Great! What i liked most was his communication. He described with great detail what my options were, what I would be getting, when I'd be getting it, what the alternatives were, how it would be done, provided picture samples. The product he provides is top of the line. The install he did was perfect. He even went out of his way to improve/tweek my garage door opener at no extra cost. All new parts, disposed of the old ones. No mess at all. Great job with the weather stripping. Well worth it!
