Right at the beginning of this pandemic, my husband and I heard some heavy dragging that occurred one night. I immediately suspected a raccoon. Sure enough, the succeeding nights were followed by more movement and scratching until the "dreaded" sound of a baby creature crying. Searched for a wildlife control services the following morning only to find out only 2 were operational due to the pandemic. Reached out to Sherwin of SOS first and he promptly returned our phone call. He came 4 days after we called due to his extremely busy schedule. Sherwin and his assistant went to work right immediately when they came. I recorded the "cries" and he immediately knew that it was a baby raccoon. They went into our attic, grabbed the baby, installed a one-way door in the opening that the raccoon went in, humanely placed the baby raccoon in the box (to be retrieved by the mommy raccoon) and installed the animal proofing in the areas that he deemed were susceptible to animal entry. They were fast, efficient and detail-oriented. He took pictures and a live video to show us the condition of the roof and the entry-point of where the raccoon came in. Sherwin came by just a couple of minutes ago to finally take off the box where the baby raccoon was. It's empty. Our unwanted Airbnb guests are gone. Feel bad though for our neighbors at the back of our house--the animal control guy who was working there last week said that he was there to remove the mom and baby raccoon that he suspects were "evicted" from our roof. Job well done, Sherwin. We hope not to call you again in the future but if we experience any more problems, you will be our first choice. Thank you!
